Auto injector with effective insertion system
An auto injector for delivery of administering a medicament comprising: a housing; an electrical motor adapted to move a piston between proximal and distal positions in a longitudinal direction of the auto injector; a syringe holder extending from a proximal to a distal end and configured to receive a syringe, a first spring adapted for moving the syringe holder with the syringe proximally for insertion of the needle; wherein the electrical motor is the only motor in the auto injector.
Auto-injector
Provided is a cassette unit suitable for use with an auto-injector having a drive unit. The cassette unit comprises a cassette unit housing defining a cassette unit housing cavity, which is in receipt of a syringe, a rearward entrance to said cavity and a forward needle projection aperture. The cassette unit also comprises in capping relationship with the rearward entrance of the cassette unit housing, a cassette unit end-cap, said cassette unit end-cap defining a drive rod-receiving opening for receipt of a drive rod for providing forward axial drive to said plunger; a biasing element defining a biasing relationship between the cassette unit end-cap and an end flange of the syringe barrel, thereby urging the syringe forwards in relation to the cassette unit end-cap; and a damping element defining a damping relationship between the cassette unit end-cap and the flange of the syringe, thereby acting to damp rearward movement of the syringe relative to the cassette unit end-cap.
APPARATUS FOR REINFORCING SYRINGE CARTRIDGE
An apparatus for transdermal injection includes a collet configured to transition between first and second states. In the first state, the collet receives a cartridge with a predetermined elongate shape. In the second state, an inner surface of the collet substantially conforms to the predetermined elongate shape of the cartridge such that expansion of the cartridge, when the cartridge is pressurized, is substantially uniformly opposed.
Autoinjectors
An autoinjector includes a body (10, 12), a syringe (13) or cartridge disposed within the body, and a plunger (60) moveable during operation between a first and a second position to effect an injection, the plunger including a transverse passage (66) containing a moveable magnetic element (68) of a magnetic pair, the body including another magnetic element (54) at a position such that, on the plunger reaching and/or nearing its second position, the magnetic attraction therebetween causes a sound-emitting impact, the plunger (60) including a magnetic keeper element (72) mounted adjacent the transverse passage and adapted to hold the movable magnetic element (68) against movement until attraction by the other magnetic pair element (54), wherein the keeper element (72) is disposed on the longitudinal axis.
Container Holder Assembly
Container holder assembly for use in a medicament delivery device, comprising a tubular body elongated in an axial direction, said tubular body having a proximal end and an opposite distal end, and a retaining member releasably arranged to said tubular body for securing an elongated container placed inside the tubular body, wherein said retaining member comprises a resilient structure capable of exerting an axial force on said container in said tubular body for holding the container in a fixed position inside the tubular body and thereby avoiding displacement or breakage of the container and wherein a distal end of said container protrudes from a distal end of said tubular body.
