10921913 · 2021-02-16 · ·

A rotatable device has a stationary base including bottom and top surfaces. The bottom surface has a first set of coupling electrodes configured to receive a reference signal from first electrodes of an attached input device, and second and third sets of coupling electrodes each configured to receive resulting signals from a second set of input device electrodes. The top surface of the stationary base has first, second and third top regions respectively connected to the first, second and third sets of coupling electrodes. The rotatable device further includes a rotary wheel, configured to rotate relative to the stationary base, with a bottom portion provided with alternating conductive and non-conductive regions and configured to align with the top portion of the stationary base. The resulting signals of the input device are modified by the relative positions of the stationary base and the rotary wheel.

CONTROL DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING MULTIPLE OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS OF AN ELECTRICAL LOAD
20210217566 · 2021-07-15 · ·

A load control device may be configured to control multiple characteristics of one or more electrical loads such as the intensity and color of a lighting load. The load control device may switch from controlling one characteristic of the electrical loads to controlling another characteristic of the electrical loads based on the position of one or more components of the load control device. Such a position may be manipulated by moving the one or more components relative to an idle position of the load control device. The load control device may be a wall-mounted device or a battery-powered remote control device.

CONTROL KNOB FOR AN APPLIANCE HAVING ROTATIONAL AND AXIAL SELECTION INTERFACE

A control knob for an appliance includes a base having an axially-operated switch. An outer control assembly is rotationally and axially operable with respect to the base. An inner display assembly is rotationally fixed with respect to the base and axially fixed with respect to the outer control assembly. The inner display assembly is biased toward an extended state and is axially operable to a selection state that engages the axially operated switch.

Knob assembly and shuttle structure having knob assembly
10854402 · 2020-12-01 · ·

A knob assembly includes a lower housing, a pushing member, an upper housing, and a screw member. The lower housing includes a tank and hook structures. A through via is formed at the center of the lower housing. The upper housing is rotatably stacked on the lower housing. A lower surface of the upper housing includes an annular hook groove. The pushing member is disposed between the upper and the lower housing, and includes a body and pushing structures. A screw hole is formed at the center of the body. When the screw member is screwed into the screw hole through the through via, the pushing member moves toward and locks the lower housing, and the pushing structures push the hook structures to cause the hook structures to expand outward and be hooked to the annular hook groove, so that the upper housing is limited by the lower housing.

Compressible seal for rotatable and translatable input mechanisms
10845764 · 2020-11-24 · ·

An electronic device has a housing and a rotatable and translatable input mechanism. The housing has an aperture and the rotatable and translatable input mechanism has a shaft positioned at least partially within the aperture and a manipulation structure coupled to the shaft. The manipulation structure may be manipulated to rotationally and translationally move the shaft to provide rotational and translational input to the electronic device. A compressible seal is positioned in a gap between the housing and the rotatable and translatable input mechanism. The compressible seal may resist and/or prevent passage of contaminants into the aperture and/or obscure one or more internal components. The compressible seal may be configured to collapse or bend when the rotatable and translatable member translates.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for configuring programmable buttons

An apparatus may include a transmitter capable of sending a signal to a device that is configured with an action module that interprets the signal and a programming module, a dial that is adjustable to a plurality of positions, where position is matched by the programming module with a programmable action, and a button that is communicatively coupled to the transmitter and that, when pressed, triggers the transmitter to send to the device the signal indicating the current position of the dial, such that the action module activates a programmable action associated with the current position of the dial in response to the button being pressed. Various other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also disclosed.

Knob with display function

A knob with a display function includes a chassis with a knob ring and a rotary sensor. A display screen, a control circuit board, a reset device and a functional connection board are sequentially installed onto the chassis. A circuit board bracket is installed between the display screen and the control circuit board. The functional connection board has a confirm button, a connection terminal disposed on the back of the functional connection board. The reset device has a through hole for extending the confirm button to the outside, an end abutting and connecting the control circuit board and the other end abutting and connecting the functional connection board. This invention has the features of simple structure and reasonable design and selects a function by turning the knob ring. With the reset device, the application of the invention has high reliability and provides easy identification.

BATTERY-POWERED RETROFIT REMOTE CONTROL DEVICE

A remote control device may be configured to be mounted over the toggle actuator of a light switch and to control a load control device. The remote control device may include a mounting assembly and a control unit that is removably attachable to the mounting assembly. The mounting assembly may include a release tab that is configured to be operated from a locking position in which the control unit is secured to the mounting assembly, to a release position in which the control unit may be detached from the mounting assembly. The mounting assembly may include a clamp that is configured to engage with the toggle actuator of a mechanical switch to which the remote control device is mounted.

Knob structure for electromagnetic oven

A knob structure for an electromagnetic oven includes a knob switch assembly. The knob switch assembly consists of a sleeve button, a rotary encoder, a bracket of a display screen, and a control assembly. The knob switch assembly is connected to a printed circuit board through a through hole. A guide rib is disposed around a circumference of the through hole. The display screen with a protection assembly disposed outside is integrated with the knob switch assembly. The guide rib effectively prevents water from entering inside of the electromagnetic oven, lengthens a service life of the electromagnetic oven, and facilitates cleaning. The knob switch assembly integrated with the display screen realizes miniaturization and reduces a cost. The protection assembly ensures a display effect of the display screen.
