SYRINGE
A syringe has an injection mechanism configured to be detachably connected to a medicine vial. The injection mechanism can be manually triggered to convert an injection mode and a standby mode; the injection mechanism has a housing, a spiral pushing assembly, a metering guide sleeve, a total volume control nut, a diagonal tension knob, and a metering screw; after the medicament liquid in the medicine vial is used up, a user can remove the medicine vial, the injection mechanism can be converted into the standby mode, and non-return ratchet buckles of the metering guide sleeve can be disengaged from a one-way ratchet portion of the housing; thus, the metering screw can be pushed back to an original position, and the total volume control nut is pushed back to an initial full volume position of the metering guide sleeve, so that the syringe can be reused.

The drive mechanism includes a base element, a toothed piston rod, which is guided within and movable relative to the base portion, and a drive gear having a pinion, which is rotatably held in the base element and in meshed engagement with the toothed piston rod. The toothed piston rod includes multiple rigid rod pieces which are connected by hinges. The rigid rod pieces comprise a flat plate provided with a straight toothed rack.
Autoinjector having needle shield triggering
An autoinjector (100′) for expelling a single dose of a drug from a held cartridge (600) comprising a piston (630). The autoinjector includes a needle shield (350, 380′) axially movable from an initial extended position via a triggering position to a trigger release position. The needle shield (350, 380′) is operatively coupled to a plunger release element (320′, 1320) cooperating with a plunger (310, 400) to define a releasable retaining mechanism that retains the plunger release element (320′, 1320) threadedly engaged with a base thread component (204′, 1204) in a predefined relative rotational and axial position and against rotational bias provided by an actuator (330). The needle shield (350, 380′) is configured for operating the retaining mechanism to release the retaining of the plunger release element (320′, 1320) and the base thread component (204′, 1204) from the predefined relative rotational and axial position upon the needle shield (350, 380′) being moved into the trigger release position.
Device for dispensing a substance
A device (1) for dispensing a substance to a patient comprising a cylindrical first container (2) containing the substance and a second container (3) containing a liquid. The device further comprises an injection device (4) and transfer mechanism (5) for transferring the liquid from the second container (3) to the first container (2) and from the first container (2) to the injection device (4). The first container (2) has a connection element (7) and a plunger (9) that can be moved between the first (6) and second ends (8). By moving the plunger (9) towards the first end (6), liquid contained therein can be dispensed via the injection device (4). The injection device (4) comprises a piercing cannula (15) and an indwelling cannula (16). In an initial position, a distal end region of the piercing cannula (15) extends coaxially in the interior of the indwelling cannula (16).
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE WITH COMBINED SETTING AND RELEASE MEMBER
Drug delivery device has drive assembly adapted to move a piston rod in a distal direction, the drive assembly comprising a drive spring. A rotatable setting member allows a user to set a dose amount to be expelled, the drive spring being strained during dose setting. User actuated release means is provided for releasing the drive spring to thereby move the piston rod in the distal direction corresponding to the set dose. The setting member can be moved axially between an initial position and a proximal setting position, and between the initial position and a distal expelling position, wherein the setting member cannot be rotated to set a dose when in the initial position, the setting member can be rotated to set a dose when in the proximal position, and a strained drive spring is released when the setting member is moved axially from the initial to the distal position.
Assembly for a drug delivery device and drug delivery device
An assembly for a drug delivery device comprises a housing, a dose member which is displaceable in a proximal direction with respect to the housing for setting of a dose of a drug, a clutch member which is displaced in the proximal direction with respect to the housing when setting the dose, and a stop member configured to define a clutch stop position. The clutch member and the dose member are configured to mechanically cooperate with one another when the clutch member is in the clutch stop position, thereby preventing further displacement of the dose member in the proximal direction with respect to the housing during setting of the dose.
IMPROVED SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEDICINE DELIVERY
Improved systems and methods for medicine delivery, and in particular, improved insulin pen needles and related devices are provided. Smart injection devices record and transfer data including medicine level, delivered dose, dose confirmation, and dose time and date. Additional data captured may include glucose concentration, insulin level, carbohydrates ingested, stress level, exercise, blood pressure, and glucose high and low excursion events. Various means of data collection and analysis are provided and systems can identify and flag patients who require intervention. Smart sleeves and add sensing capability to standard insulin pens. Pen needles are provided with sensing capability to confirm and measure doses delivered by insulin pen. A two-part pen cap include a primary sleeve that connects to the insulin pen and an end cap that provides for capturing the time of dose delivery, and monitoring the hold time for a dose delivery after plunger movement.
AUTO-INJECTOR
An autoinjector having a reservoir (110); a piston (111); a needle (112); a driver module having a body (201); a piston rod (210) movable between rest position and injection positions; an injection spring (220); and a lock that blocks the piston rod in its rest position. The lock ha a thread (230) connected to the piston rod and to a toothed winder wheel (240), a locking member (260) co-operating with a tooth (241) of the toothed winder wheel, the locking member (260) movable between a blocking position preventing the winder wheel from turning in the direction of actuation force (Fa) exerted by the injection spring, and an actuated position allowing turning of the winder wheel. The autoinjector includes a re-cocking mechanism (400) for rewinding the thread on the winder wheel by turning the winder wheel in the opposite direction to its direction during the injection stage.
PHARMACEUTICAL CARTRIDGE HOLDING UNIT, AND PHARMACEUTICAL INJECTION DEVICE PROVIDED THEREWITH
A pharmaceutical cartridge holding unit holds a pharmaceutical cartridge and is mounted to a pharmaceutical injection device main body in order to mount the pharmaceutical cartridge to a pharmaceutical injection device.
