The device further includes a dual-chamber reservoir with (i) a first chamber holding the first medicament and (ii) a second chamber holding the second medicament. The device also includes a needle and a plunger. After activation of the device, the plunger is configured to (i) move the dual-chamber reservoir a given distance in a distal direction with respect to the interior body so that a distal end of the needle extends out of the interior body and (ii) after moving the dual-chamber reservoir the given distance, move in the distal direction with respect to the dual-chamber reservoir so as to eject from the needle the first medicament followed by the second medicament.
Syringe with injection dose adjustment function
A syringe with an injection dose adjustment function, the syringe comprising a medicine vial connecting apparatus and an adjustable propulsion apparatus; by means of assembling the medicine vial connecting apparatus and a medicine vial, and then installing the adjustable propulsion apparatus in the medicine vial connecting apparatus and extending the adjustable propulsion apparatus into the medicine vial, a rotating knob of the medicine vial connecting apparatus can drive a push rod of the adjustable propulsion apparatus to move backward to a predetermined scale; at a time of injection, pressing the push rod enables the medicine vial to output a predetermined dosage of medicinal liquid, such that the syringe can adjust the dosage of the injection according to requirements of different injection subjects.
MEDICAL DOSING DEVICE
An administration device including a needle; a cartridge which is capable of storing a liquid medicine to be administered into a living body by the needle; a case which has an open or openable first end to be pressed against the skin, and in which the needle and the cartridge are stored in such a manner as to be movable toward the first end side, the needle being capable of moving to the outside of the first end in response to the movement of the needle toward the first end ide; and a pressing force control member which intervenes so as to generate a reactive force between the cartridge and the case and which controls a pressing force exerted on the skin by the case while the needle moves toward the first end side. In the process of piercing by the needle, a reactive force is continuously generated by the pressing force control member and the pressing force exerted on the skin by the case is controlled at a substantially constant level, whereby the piercing depth by the needle is kept substantially constant at the time of completion of the piercing by the needle; and in the process of discharging the liquid medicine stored in the cartridge through the needle for administration, the reactive force by the pressing force control member is generated continuously, whereby the piercing depth by the needle is kept substantially constant.
Pen-type injector
The present invention relates to injectors, such as pen-type injectors, that provide for administration of medicinal products from a multidose cartridge and permit a user to set a delivery dose. An injector may include a housing, a cartridge containing a medicinal product, the cartridge being retained within the housing, means for selecting a dose of the medicinal product to be expelled, and means for expelling the selected dose of the medicinal product. The housing may be a unitary housing within which the means for selecting the dose and the means for expelling the selected dose are moveably retained. Alternatively, the injector may include a housing, a piston rod, an insert located in the housing and through which the piston rod may rotate, ratchet means, a dose dial sleeve, a drive sleeve, a button located on the drive sleeve and rotatable with respect to the drive sleeve, and clutch means which upon depression of the button prevents rotation between the dose dial sleeve and the drive sleeve.
Acoustic Method for Precisely Controlling and Metering the Manual Injection Dosage
Disclosed is an acoustic method for precisely controlling and metering manual injection. The method includes: rotating a main housing to allow ratchet grooves to collide with ratchets on a ratchet wheel; obtaining collision voice and vibration signals by a switch sensor and a perception sensor; performing a Mel-frequency cepstral coefficient (MFCC) algorithm and classification with deep neural networks (DNN) on signals detected by a voice sensor, to output processed and recognized voice features; performing an empirical mode decomposition (EMD) algorithm and classification with cyclic delay diversity (CDD) on signals detected by a vibration sensor, to output processed and recognized vibration signals; and inputting the output voice features, the vibration signals, and reception time differences between the voice signals and the vibration signals into a support vector machine (SVM) classifier jointly for final recognition and classification, to recognize whether manual injection is correctly performed.
MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE WITH SENSING SYSTEM
Medication delivery devices are provided having a sensor in the form of a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switch, a conversion control module that receives signals from the SPDT switch and generates an outputs a signal, and related power control circuitry. The SPDT switch may interact with a rotating component having a plurality of teeth that slide against the arm during dose delivery. Contact of an arm of the SPDT switch to a peak of a tooth places the SPDT switch in a set state, while lack of contact between the arm and the peak of the tooth places the SPDT switch in a reset state. The SPDT switch and SR logic switch may be used to sense dosage of medication delivered during dose delivery. The power control circuitry can include a sleep state the reduces battery drain during non-use, and a wakeup state that senses the administered dose.
Sensor, cartridge and drug delivery device
In one aspect the present disclosure relates to a sensor for measuring at least one physical or chemical parameter of a cartridge or syringe filled with a liquid substance. In further aspects the disclosure relates to a cartridge equipped with such a sensor as well as to a drug delivery device equipped with such a cartridge, wherein the sensor comprises: a planar flexible foil arrangeable to an outer circumference of a barrel of the cartridge or syringe, at least a first and a second measuring electrode arranged on said foil, and at least a first and a second contact electrode arranged on said foil, wherein the first contact electrode is connected to the first measuring electrode and wherein the second contact electrode is connected to the second measuring electrode.
VIAL AND SYRINGE ALIGNMENT GUIDE
Described is a vial and syringe alignment guide that is designed to assist a user in filling a syringe from a vial. The guide includes both a vial attachment and syringe attachment. When a vial is affixed with the vial attachment, a syringe placed within the syringe attachment is aligned with the vial to allow the user to safely draw fluid from the vial.
