SOLID DIELECTRIC DEADFRONT ELECTRICAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
20190148877 · 2019-05-16 ·

A solid dielectric deadfront electrical switch assembly having a switch contact assembly. The switch contact assembly can include an upper insulative diaphragm, a male pin contact having an insulating tip and an isolating sleeve, a primary contact, a lower insulative diaphragm, and a female socket contact. The upper insulative diaphragm, isolating sleeve, and insulating tip can assist in electrically isolating the male contact pin when the electrical switch assembly is in an open condition. Further, the upper insulative diaphragm can be separated from the female socket contact, and/or a female-contact insulating sleeve, by a gap chamber that utilizes air as an insulator. The lower insulative diaphragm can be configured to engage a drive rod that is used to axially displace the male pin contact between open and closed positions in a manner that may prevent arcing between the switch contact assembly and a base plate of a switchgear.

Converter arrangement comprising movable contacts, but immovable converter assembly

A converter arrangement includes a basic structure having a receptacle, a first electrical network including lines arranged on the basic structure, a plurality of first contacts arranged on the basic structure and movable via a first actuator from a first connection position into a first release position, and a converter assembly securable in the first release position as a unit in a fixed location in the receptacle of the basic structure and removable from the receptacle. The converter assembly is electrically connected to the lines of the first electrical network when the first contacts assume the first connection position, and electrically disconnected from the lines of the first network when the first contacts assume the first release position. The receptacle of the basic structure is immobile when the first contacts move from the first connection position into the first release position.

A power distribution switchgear including a housing to which a switch is mounted, housing has an opening, the first and second electric contact connected to a first and second conductors. A rotating operating shaft of inserted into the opening, and an actuator having a first end coupled to the shaft and a second end coupled to the second contact. The actuator and shaft made of an electrically insulating material. The shaft supported in the housing by the actuator member. The interface is located at a distance D from the longitudinal axis Y of the shaft that is longer than a distance d between axis Y and a circumferential edge that delimits the opening.

SWITCHGEAR

A switchgear which includes at least one three-position disconnector arranged in a gas-tight space of a frame. Each phase of the disconnector includes first, second, and third fixed contacts and a moving contact. The first fixed contact is directly connected to a main busbar, so that the conductive main circuit has shorter wiring, saving floor space, and conductor materials. An outer surface of the moving contact is provided with a slot extending in an axial direction to accommodate rolling elements, which guide the moving contact to move through the second fixed contact and prevent it from rotating. The moving contact is provided with grooves, which accommodate contact pieces to realize connection with the corresponding fixed contact. The moving contact of each disconnector is coupled to the same drive shaft so that it is connected to an external operating mechanism via only one sealing point on the frame.
