Automatic administration instrument for medical use

An automatic administration instrument includes a syringe and a partition wall in the syringe which partitions the syringe into different rooms for respectively holding plural kinds of drug solutions or a drug and a drug solution. A partition-wall driver displaces the partition wall and an injection needle is connected to the syringe. A body cap attached to the administration instrument body so as to cover the injection needle. The syringe, the partition wall, and the body cap are configured such that displacing the partition wall dissolves or mixes the drug solutions or the drug and the drug solution in a state that the injection needle is covered by the body cap.

Dispense interface

The invention relates to a dispense interface for an ejection device comprising a first part and a second part, at least a first opening, a second opening and a third opening, a fluidic channel and a connection element for each of the openings, wherein the first part is joined to the second part to form at least a part of the fluidic channel connecting the openings with each other and wherein at least one connection element is configured to accept a needle assembly for a fluid tight connection with the corresponding opening and wherein at least one connection element is configured to provide a releasable push fit connection for a fluid tight connection with an ejection device in order to reduce the complexity and provide an easy usage of the dispense interface and at the same time overcome the problems of material compatibility and cross contamination. The invention also relates to a system with a dispense interface according to the invention. The invention further relates to a method for preparing a dispense interface according to the invention.

Devices, systems, and methods for medicament delivery

Certain exemplary embodiments comprise can comprise an auto-injector, which can comprise: a vial configured to store and/or contain an injectable medicament, the vial defining a vial longitudinal axis, and a housing comprising the vial. In various embodiments, the injectable medicament can be a medicine, medication, drug, pharmaceutical, prescriptive, agent, antidote, anti-venom, hormone, stimulant, vasodilator, anesthetic, and/or nutritional supplement that is substantially ready for injection.

Vacuum expanded dry composition and syringe for retaining same

The present disclosure relates to a method for vacuum expansion of a paste prior to freeze-drying said paste to achieve a dry paste composition which reconstitutes efficiently to form a flowable paste upon addition of an aqueous medium. The present disclosure further relates to a syringe for retaining a dry paste composition in a vacuum.

MIXING VIAL

A mixing vial having a hollow interior chamber with a tubular portion having distal and proximal open ends and a stopper positioned in sealing relationship in the tubular portion, the stopper having a hollow interior chamber with an open end and a dislodgeable plug positioned in and sealing the open end.

Drug delivery device for drug suspensions

In one aspect of the subject invention, a drug delivery device is provided which includes a reservoir for containing a medicament and has a proximal end and a distal end, the medicament including a suspension of solids in a liquid carrier. Further, the drug delivery device includes a needle in fluid communication with the reservoir and having a distal end for injection into a patient, and a proximal end in the reservoir. An accumulation surface is defined at least partially about the needle, distally of the proximal end of the needle. The accumulation surface defines a distally-extending indentation which is sized and shaped to collect, during use, solids that come out of suspension. Advantageously, with the subject invention, the accumulation surface allows for solids to accumulate at a location spaced from the proximal end of the needle, thereby minimizing the possibility of clogging the needle.

Injection apparatus

An injection apparatus includes a counter wheel that is incremented by the dose delivery mechanism each time the device is fired. The apparatus includes a final dose disabling mechanism that prevents further usage once the final dose has been delivered. An anti-tamper feature is provided to prevent inadvertent or premature initialisation of the apparatus.

Dispense interface with lockout element

A dispense interface for use with a drug delivery device with an inner body and with a lockout element. The lockout element is coupled to the inner body movable from a receptive condition to a locked condition, wherein in the receptive condition the dispense interface is attachable to the drug delivery device. In the locked condition, the dispense interface is not-attachable to the drug delivery device. The lockout element is configured to move from the receptive condition to the locked condition when said dispense interface is attached to and detached from said drug delivery device.

SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS FOR DISPENSING BIOCOMPATIBLE REACTIVE FORMULATIONS AND CONTROLLING CROSS-LINKING OF THE REACTIVE COMPONENTS OF THE BIOCOMPATIBLE REACTIVE FORMULATIONS

A system for dispensing a biocompatible reactive formulation includes a first chamber containing a first fluid having a first reactive component, a second chamber containing a second fluid having a second reactive component, and a third chamber containing a third fluid. A spray tip assembly is configured for spraying a final mixture of the first, second and third fluids. The spray tip assembly has a spray tip housing, a mixing element disposed within the spray tip housing, a mixing chamber located between the mixing element and an inner surface of the spray tip housing. The mixing element has a proximal end adjacent the proximal end of the spray tip housing and a distal end adjacent the distal end of the spray tip housing, a third fluid inlet opening at the proximal end of the mixing element, and one or more third fluid exit openings formed in the outer surface of the mixing element that are in fluid communication with the third fluid inlet opening and that extend laterally to the outer surface of the mixing element for being in fluid communication with the mixing chamber. A fluid connector is secured to the proximal end of the spray tip housing and opposes the proximal end of the mixing element. The fluid connector has first and second fluid channels in fluid communication with the mixing chamber, and a third fluid channel in fluid communication with the third fluid inlet opening of the mixing element. A pump assembly is coupled with the first, second and third chambers for simultaneously forcing the first, second and third fluids to flow through the first, second and third fluid channels of the fluid connector and into the proximal end of the spray tip housing.

An administration instrument includes an injection button which can be pressed at an angle that is not parallel to a needle with respect to a direction in which the needle is inserted into skin. As a result, it is possible to prevent a force of pressing the injection button from being transmitted in the direction in which the needle is inserted into the skin deeper than initial insertion of the needle, thereby achieving an administration under a stable state.
