The device (100) is characterized in that the cartridge (10) has a flexible body (13) suitable for tearing as a result of the increase of pressure inside the cartridge (10) in order to put in communication the back chamber (8) with the front chamber (9) and to allow the reconstitution of the injectable solution (S).

Medicament device

A method for creating a sterile connection with a fluid in a container. The container has a sealing member sealing a first end of the container, and a barrier sealing a chamber in fluid communication with the sealing member. The method includes providing a valve sleeve assembly that includes a flexible sleeve having a barrier portion at an end of the flexible sleeve, a hollow first penetrator disposed within the flexible sleeve, and a hollow second penetrator at least partially disposed within the first penetrator. An interior of the flexible sleeve is sterile. The method also includes piercing the barrier portion and the barrier with the first penetrator, and displacing the second penetrator relative to the first penetrator and the sealing member to pierce the sealing member and establish the sterile connection with an interior of the container.

The injector may also include a fluid delivery system comprising a clean, unsheathed, rigid container needle having a point disposed only partially through the seal assembly in a storage state, and disposed through the interior surface of the seal assembly into the sterile reservoir in a delivery state. Further, the injection may include an actuator that is adapted to move the container needle from the storage state to the delivery state.

The drug delivery device includes a fluid passageway and a stem having an inlet in fluid communication with the fluid passageway. The stem displaces the first closure from the outlet and enters the outlet to provide fluid communication between the chamber and the fluid passageway and thereby facilitates delivery of the fluid drug to the drug delivery device. A second closure is coupled to the stem, and the second closure engages the first body at the outlet when the stem enters the outlet to inhibit the fluid drug from exiting the drug containing device around the stem.
