A syringe assembly includes a barrel defining a chamber therein, pressurized sterile air in the chamber, a plunger including a piston slidable in the chamber in a sealing relation to displace a fluid in the chamber, a seal configured to retain the pressurized sterile fluid in the chamber between the piston of the plunger and the seal when the plunger is stationary, and a needle assembly extending distally from the barrel and in fluid communication with the chamber of the barrel.

Injection or infusion device comprising an improved release liner

An injection device configured for attachment to the skin of a patient using an adhesive layer includes a release liner covering the adhesive layer thereby preventing skin attachment. The release liner comprises a sheet of material where a first surface contacts the adhesive layer, and an aperture defining a passage for a film connected to a first sterile barrier film located within the injection device. An end of the film is connected to a second surface of the sheet of material that is opposite to the first surface, and the release liner is covered by a strengthening sheet connected to the second surface and covering the aperture and the end of the film.

INJECTOR AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY

An injector may include a container having a wall with an interior surface and a seal assembly with an interior surface, the interior surfaces of the wall and the seal assembly defining a closed sterile reservoir filled with a drug product. The injector may also include a fluid delivery system comprising a clean, unsheathed, rigid container needle having a point disposed only partially through the seal assembly in a storage state, and disposed through the interior surface of the seal assembly into the sterile reservoir in a delivery state. Further, the injection may include an actuator that is adapted to move the container needle from the storage state to the delivery state.

BENEFICIAL AGENT DISPENSER

A dispensing device for use with a beneficial agent has a dispensing package, a dispenser disposed on an end portion of the dispensing package, and an actuator movably disposed along at least a portion of the package between a pre-dispensing state and a dispensing state. One arrangement also provides a beneficial agent dispenser having a dispensing port, an elongate portion and a plunger that is movably disposed relative to a tubular wall of the elongate portion during a dispensing stroke to partially penetrate a separable barrier and expel the beneficial agent through the dispensing port.

Applicator for applying a liquid to a location on a body

An applicator for administering a liquid to a selected location of a patient includes a main body having an interior cavity and a flexible outer wall. A frangible ampoule is configured to contain the liquid and configured to be positioned within the interior cavity of the main body. A hypodermic tube having a proximal end attached to the main body and a distal end. An applicator tip attached to the distal end of the hypodermic tube to dispense the liquid.

ASEPTIC CARTRIDGE AND DISPENSER ARRANGEMENT

A cartridge for use with a beneficial agent delivery device having a fillable reservoir. The cartridge includes a reconstitution, unit dose package having first and second compartments, and a fitment. The first compartment contains at least a first constintuent of the beneficial agent. The second compartment contains at least a second constituent of the beneficial agent. The fitment is disposed on the package for interfacing the package to the fillable reservoir.

INTRAOSSEOUS INJECTION DEVICE

A device for intraosseous injection is provided which can accurately, quickly, and safely introduce desired fluid into a patient's bone marrow. The intraosseous injector includes a housing, a container located within the housing, a hollow needle, and a valve. The intraosseous injector may further include a release mechanism comprising a bone probe needle and a movable release member. The intraosseous injector may include a depth limiter mechanism operable to limit a depth of penetration of the needle relative to a surface of a bone. A method for intraosseous injection is also provided.

Syringe for Direct Use with Medical Ampoules and Vials
20180228978 · 2018-08-16 ·

A kit for the direct use of a variety of medical ampoules of differing sizes, with a syringe, the kit having: a syringe body; a syringe plunger having a hollow interior volume; and a plurality of ampoule interface elements, each one being interchangeably received within the hollow interior volume and configured for deployment between an outer surface of the medical ampoule and a surface of the hollow interior volume so as to hold the medical ampoule therein, each of the plurality of ampoule interface elements having an outside diameter sized to fit an inside diameter of the hollow interior volume, wherein a first of the ampoule interface elements has an inside diameter for receiving a medical ampoule of a first size, and a second of the ampoule interface elements has an inside diameter different from the first inside diameter for receiving a medical ampoule of a second size.

CARTRIDGE HOLD-UP VOLUME REDUCTION
20180200444 · 2018-07-19 ·

Drug delivery systems with reduced hold-up volumes are provided. The drug delivery systems include a cartridge configured to hold a liquid drug. A cartridge stopper is positioned in a first portion of the cartridge. A needle guide component is positioned within the cartridge stopper. A needle is positioned within a central opening of the needle guide. A plunger is positioned in a second portion of the cartridge. The plunger includes a fluid path pocket facing and aligned with the central opening of the needle guide component. The plunger is driven toward the cartridge stopper to expel the liquid drug from the cartridge through the needle. An end of the needle can be positioned within the fluid path pocket when the plunger is pushed against the cartridge stopper, ensuring that only a small volume of the liquid drug remains in the cartridge when delivery of the liquid drug is completed.
