Medical agent dispensing apparatuses, systems, and methods
An example agent administration device may comprise a housing. The device may further comprise a sharp assembly including a delivery sharp. The sharp assembly may be reciprocally displaceable along a guide channel of the housing. The device may further comprise an access port in fluid communication with the delivery sharp. The device may further comprise an actuation assembly configured drive the sharp assembly, via urging of a single bias member, from a storage state in which the delivery sharp is within the housing, through a first extended position in which the delivery sharp extends a maximum distance from the housing and to a partially retracted position in which the delivery sharp extends a lesser distance from the housing.

SYRINGE ASSEMBLY INCLUDING PRESSURIZED STERILE AIR
A syringe assembly includes a barrel defining a chamber therein, pressurized sterile air in the chamber, a plunger including a piston slidable in the chamber in a sealing relation to displace a fluid in the chamber, a seal configured to retain the pressurized sterile fluid in the chamber between the piston of the plunger and the seal when the plunger is stationary, and a needle assembly extending distally from the barrel and in fluid communication with the chamber of the barrel.
Stopper
A stopper for use in a cartridge or syringe of a medical device is configured to be disposed within a container closure system. The stopper comprises a shell comprising a closed end and an open end with sidewalls extending between the closed end and the open end along a longitudinal axis of the shell. The open end defines a cavity and the sidewalls define an exterior surface sized and shaped to fit inside the container closure system. An insert is configured to be inserted into the cavity, receive a force from a plunger rod, and distribute the force to the shell in order to advance the shell into the container closure system. The closed end of the shell in the cavity defining a convex surface configured to be contacted and deflected by the insert upon insertion into the cavity includes an elastic and/or plastic deformable material.

CRIMP AND ASSEMBLY FOR AN INJECTION OR INFUSION DEVICE
A crimp for affixing a septum to a neck portion of a medicament cartridge includes a cylindrical skirt section made from a deformable material configured for attachment to the neck portion of the cartridge, an end wall connected to the cylindrical skirt section and arranged substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the cylindrical skirt section, the end wall defining a passage, and a film attached to the end wall, wherein the film closes the passage and is made from a flexible, porous membrane. A section of the film covering the passage includes lateral dimensions that exceed lateral dimensions of the passage such that the film closes the passage and forms a sterile barrier. An assembly may include the crimp along with a cartridge and a septum.
BENEFICIAL AGENT DISPENSER
A dispensing device for use with a beneficial agent has a dispensing package, a dispenser disposed on an end portion of the dispensing package, and an actuator movably disposed along at least a portion of the package between a pre-dispensing state and a dispensing state. One arrangement also provides a beneficial agent dispenser having a dispensing port, an elongate portion and a plunger that is movably disposed relative to a tubular wall of the elongate portion during a dispensing stroke to partially penetrate a separable barrier and expel the beneficial agent through the dispensing port.
Medicament injector and interchangeable cartridges therefor
The present invention relates to a medicament injector including an applicator with a cartridge-accepting receptacle, and interchangeable, pre-filled medicament-containing cartridges. Each cartridge includes a barrier member having a closed position in which access to the medicament is inhibited. The barrier member is movable from the closed position to an open position, in which the medicament is accessible via the applicator for administration, when the cartridge is inserted into the receptacle. The barrier member is moves back to the closed position when the cartridge is automatically removed from the receptacle once the medication is delivered. This allows for plurality of pre-filled medicament cartridges to be selected on demand via a need-based scenario for quick assembly with the medicament injector for use in various clinical scenarios to reduce the bulk, errors, complexity, and steps in medicament delivery while increasing the versatility, safety, and speed of medicament delivery in time critical situations.
Device for dispensing a fluid product
A fluid product dispensing device having a reservoir with a dose of fluid product, a piston-stopper mounted to slide in the reservoir, a dispensing head with a dispensing orifice axially movable to move the piston-stopper to dispense the fluid product. The piston-stopper has a hollow sleeve with a central receiving zone substantially at the axial and radial center of the piston plug. A shut-off element is positioned in the central receiving zone in a shutting-off position and, during actuation, expelled from the shutting-off position towards an open position. The central receiving zone is extended axially on one side by a lower receiving zone having two wall parts separated by at two axially extending radial grooves, the wall parts holding the shut-off element in its open position, with the fluid product able, during actuation, to flow from the reservoir around the shut-off element in the open position towards the dispensing orifice.
Mixing syringe
A mixing syringe, including: a barrel; a hollow plunger disposed inside the barrel, the hollow plunger having a stopper disposed on a distal end thereof and an open proximal end; a flexible container disposed inside the hollow plunger, the container containing a first material; a metering rod adapted to be inserted in the open proximal end of the hollow plunger so as to enclose the container therein, the metering rod adapted to be advanced within the hollow plunger from the open proximal end to the distal end thereof in predetermined increments.
