INJECTION DEVICE WITH DOSE SIZE ADJUSTER
The present disclosure relates to an injection device configured to expel a dose of a medicament, the injection device comprising: an elongated housing extending in a longitudinal direction, a piston rod movable relative to the housing in a longitudinal distal direction to exert a dispensing pressure onto a bung of a cartridge at least partially filled with an injectable medicament, a rod extension movably arranged on or in a distal end of the piston rod, a driver operably engaged with the piston rod and movable relative to the housing in a longitudinal proximal direction for setting of the dose and movable relative to the housing in the longitudinal distal direction for dispensing of the dose, and an adjuster arranged on or in the driver and operably engaged with the rod extension to move the rod extension in longitudinal direction relative to the piston rod.
Drug Delivery Device and Method for Assembling
The disclosure relates to a drug delivery device comprising a body extending along a longitudinal axis, at least one arm member arranged within the body and extending essentially parallel to the longitudinal axis, and a container retaining a drug, wherein the container comprises a flange that is arranged at an axial position along the longitudinal axis, wherein the flange has at least one first radial edge region having a first radial distance to the longitudinal axis and at least one second radial edge region having a second radial distance to the longitudinal axis, wherein the second radial distance is greater than the first radial distance, and wherein, in the axial position, the at least one arm member is arranged and configured such that at least one aligning feature of the arm member is arranged at a third radial distance to the longitudinal axis that is smaller than the second radial distance.
Anti-rotation cartridge pin
A system is disclosed for inserting a pharmaceutical cartridge into a delivery device. Optionally the cartridge is inserted in an arbitrary orientation. Optionally, the system reorients the cartridge to a locked orientation. For example, a driver applies a torque to the cartridge to cause the reorienting. For example, said torque rotates the cartridge around an axis thereof until the cartridge reaches the locked orientation. Optionally, when the cartridge reaches the locked orientation an interference element on the cartridge interlocks with a complementary interference element on the delivery device to lock the cartridge in the locked orientation. Optionally when the cartridge is locked in the second orientation, the torque causes discharge the pharmaceutical.
Formulation and process for limiting nerve trauma
Disclosed in some forms is a process of limiting the impact of surgery on a nerve, the process comprising applying a therapeutic substance to the nerve during surgery. In some aspects, disclosed is a formulation for reducing nerve trauma comprising an active pharmacological ingredient adapted to intervene in the activation of pathways of cellular degradation within the nerve and a carrier adapted to reduce dissemination of the active pharmacological ingredient beyond the site at which its effect is intended.
CONTAINER RETAINING MEMBER, DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE AND METHOD
A container retaining member including (i) a retaining member body including an inner surface that limits a retaining space for a container, in which the retaining member body has an insertion opening through which the container is insertable into the retaining space, and (ii) a fixing member is described. The fixing member includes a connecting portion that is connected to the inner surface and extends inwardly from the inner surface of the retaining member body, a first fixing portion that extends from the connecting portion into the retaining space and includes a first free end, and a second fixing portion that extends from the connecting portion or from the first fixing portion into the retaining space and comprises a second free end. The first fixing portion and the second fixing portion are arranged and configured to engage the container in order to secure the container within the container retaining member, and the first free end is arranged closer to the insertion opening than the second free end.
Injection Device
The present disclosure refers to an injection device comprising a housing, a cartridge holder having a first attachment member, a threaded sleeve insert axially and rotationally constrained to the housing, the threaded sleeve insert having a second attachment member for releasable attachment with the first attachment member, and a metering mechanism. The metering mechanism comprises an actuating element, a piston rod, a piston rod sleeve in which the piston rod can be non-rotatably connected in the piston rod sleeve, and a coupling element coupling the actuating element and the piston rod sleeve. The piston rod can be non-rotatably connected to the piston rod sleeve by a coupling sleeve. The cartridge holder is attached to the threaded sleeve insert by axially moving cartridge holder with respect to the threaded sleeve insert and the housing to engage the coupling sleeve with the piston rod sleeve.
MODULAR SYRINGE HOLDER AND SYRINGE ASSEMBLY METHOD
Modular syringe holders receive small-volume product containers for use in injection devices configured for nominally large-volume product containers, and include an adapter and an adapter holder configured for insertion in such injection devices. The adapter includes a hollow-cylindrical, rigid adapter body and a radially deflectable support element for a receiving a syringe shoulder of a pre-filled syringe. During receipt of the pre-filled syringe, the support element undergoes a radial deflection by a needle protection cap of the pre-filled syringe. The adapter holder is configured to receive the adapter, and a holding portion of the adapter holder blocks the support element against radial deflection in a holding position in an engagement with the syringe shoulder. With the adapter and pre-filled syringe received in the adapter holder, a flexible shoulder-support element diverts axial forces of the shoulder of the pre-filled syringe and is secured by the adapter holder against lateral deflection.
CONTAINER HOLDER FOR ADAPTING SMALLER DIAMETER CONTAINER
A housing suitable for use with one of a plurality of containers containing a medical substance, wherein the plurality of containers have different outer diameters, the housing comprising: one or more internal projections at a distal side of the housing for blocking distal movement of a first container when the first container is received within the housing, wherein the first container has a first external diameter; one or more inwardly projecting ridges provided proximally from said one or more internal projections, wherein the ridges are suitable for blocking distal movement of a container holder which holds a second container when the container holder is received within the housing, wherein the second container has a second external diameter which is smaller than the first external diameter.
Dual-Function Spring
An injection device for dispensing a product, the injection device including a moveable element which is moved for a dispensing operation, a spring, a product container holder and a product container, wherein the spring pushes against the moveable element to move the moveable element to an initial position after the dispensing operation has ended and against the product container to seat the product container in the product container holder.
