A kit for the direct use of a variety of medical ampoules of differing sizes, with a syringe, the kit having: a syringe body; a syringe plunger having a hollow interior volume; and a plurality of ampoule interface elements, each one being interchangeably received within the hollow interior volume and configured for deployment between an outer surface of the medical ampoule and a surface of the hollow interior volume so as to hold the medical ampoule therein, each of the plurality of ampoule interface elements having an outside diameter sized to fit an inside diameter of the hollow interior volume, wherein a first of the ampoule interface elements has an inside diameter for receiving a medical ampoule of a first size, and a second of the ampoule interface elements has an inside diameter different from the first inside diameter for receiving a medical ampoule of a second size.

Medical plug delivery devices with a rotatable magazine and related components and methods

Medical devices for delivering compositions or medical articles to a patient are disclosed. The medical plug delivery devices can include a fluid delivery device (e.g., a syringe), a frame, and a rotatable magazine. The rotatable magazine can include a plurality of chambers that each hold a composition or a medical article (e.g., a medical plug). By rotating the rotatable magazine relative to the frame, material within the chambers of the rotatable magazine can be sequentially deployed to a patient.

Gas-powered fluid injection system

Gas-powered fluid injection systems and methods are disclosed, e.g., for delivering fluids into a patient's body. An injection device comprises a driver housing which forms and/or encloses a gas pressure source, an actuation piston driven by the gas pressure source and a hydraulic fluid pressurized by movement of the actuation piston. The hydraulic fluid flows through an adjustable valve into a plunger lumen which pushes a plunger of a fluid dispensing device, such as a syringe, to dispense an injection fluid, such as a medicament. The injection device has a movable plunger sleeve which receives the plunger of the fluid dispensing device. The plunger sleeve is moved during the activation and de-activation of the injection device such that it relieves residual pressure in the fluid dispensing device thereby preventing the fluid dispensing device from continuing to dispense injection fluid after the injection device has been de-actuated.

Drug injection device, cartridge adapter, and drug injection system

A drug injection system includes a cartridge adapter and a drug injection device. The cartridge adapter includes: a main body case; an attachment portion provided on the main body case used for attachment to the drug injection device; an accommodating portion that accommodates therein a drug cartridge; a piston; a piston gear that allows the piston to slide therethrough; a stopper that stops movement of the piston gear; and a release lever that releases a locked state of the piston gear. The drug injection device includes: a casing that accommodates therein a portion of the cartridge adapter; an engagement portion that engages with the cartridge adapter; a drive gear to which the piston gear of the cartridge adapter is connected; a motor connected to the drive gear; and a release bar that drives the release lever of the cartridge adapter.

Drug delivery device and method for a drug delivery device

A drug delivery device is provided comprising a container, a first product and a second product. The device is configured to mix the first product and the second product with each other within the container for forming a drug mixture. The device is further configured for dispensing the drug mixture. The device comprises a mixing member. The device is switchable from a first state, in which the first product and the second product are separated, into a second state, in which the first product and the second product are mixed. The mixing member is configured to exert a force onto the container in order to move the container to mix the first product and the second product with each other. Furthermore, a method for maintaining a predetermined property of a drug mixture to be dispensed from a drug delivery device is provided.
