Magnetic switch controlled circuit for electrical appliance
10584889 · 2020-03-10 ·

A magnetic switch controlled circuit for an electrical appliance includes a voltage input terminal, a voltage output terminal, a magnetic switch, a relay circuitry and a turn-off delay circuitry. When the magnetic switch detects a first change in the magnetic field from an idle status, the relay circuitry is configured to output an output voltage to the voltage output terminal so as to supply power to the electrical appliance. When the magnetic switch detects a second change in the magnetic field from the first change in the magnetic field, the turn-off delay circuitry is configured to control the relay circuitry to continue outputting the output voltage to the voltage output terminal for a predetermined period of time, the relay circuitry being switched off by the turn-off delay circuitry after the predetermined period of time elapses.

Four-contact magnetic switch apparatus

Switch apparatus (54), designed to detect relative movement between first and second members (60, 62), includes a switch assembly (48) comprising a switch unit (20), a biasing element (50), and an operating member (52). The unit (20) has a conductive housing (22) with first, second, and third electrical pin contacts (36-40) and a shiftable body (46). The body (46) is magnetically correlated with both the element (50) and operating member (52). When the members (60, 62) are close, the operating member (52) maintains the shiftable body (46) in one switch position, whereas when the members (60, 62) are separated, the biasing element (50) magnetically moves body (46) to another switch position, thereby detecting the relative movement).

Safety Power Connector

A safety power connector includes a male section that has contacts for carrying electric current, one or more magnets, and a protrusion. A female section has a receptacle for receiving the protrusion and contacts that mate with contacts of the male section. When the male section is absent, no hot electrical potential is present at the contacts of the female section, thereby reducing potential for an electric shock. When the male section aligns with the female section and the protrusion inserted into the centrally located receptacle of the female section causes closure of a switch in the female section and a magnetic field from the one or more magnets of the male section cause closure of a magnetically actuated switch caused, providing electrical potential to the contacts of the female section that are now in contact with the contacts of the male section.

A switch system that includes a switch assembly with a housing having a bottom surface that includes a latch pocket defined therein. The latch pocket includes a top surface and the housing defines an interior that includes either a magnetic switch or a magnet disposed therein. One of the magnetic switch or magnet is positioned adjacent the top surface of the latch pocket in the other is associated with the distal end of latch bolt. The system also includes a latch bolt. When the latch bolt is in the unlatched position it is not received in the latch pocket, the magnetic switch is in the first state and an electrical component is in a first state. When the latch bolt is in the latched position it is received in the latch pocket, the magnetic switch is in the second state and the electrical component is switched to a second state.
