Relocation module and methods for surgical equipment

Modules for housing electronic and electromechanical medical equipment including a system to measure and record administration of one or more IV medications or fluids for IV administration.

MICRO-VOLUME INJECTORS WITH DOSE GUIDANCE AND METHODS FOR USE

Injector devices and methods for using them to deliver medicament into a patient's body, e.g., sub-retinally within an eye, are provided. The injector includes a cartridge including a piston slidably disposed within an interior for delivering medicament within the interior through an outlet, and a driver including a plunger coupled to the piston, a source of pressurized fluid, and an actuator member for opening a flow path at least partially between the source and the plunger to advance the plunger and piston to deliver medicament from the interior. One or more sensors are operatively coupled to the plunger to measure displacement of the plunger, a processor is coupled to the sensor(s) for analyzing sensor signals to measure volume of medicament delivered from the interior, and an output device, e.g., one or more LEDs or speakers, provide outputs related to the volume of medicament delivered.

Method of inserting a lubricant free stopper into a lubricant free barrel or a lubricant free cartridge tube and a system for assembling same

A method of inserting a lubricant free stopper into a lubricant free syringe barrel or lubricant free cartridge tube is disclosed. The method includes (1) inserting a stopper with a sealing rib into a placement region, (2) lowering the body of the insertion tube into a syringe barrel or cartridge tube to a position located past the barrel flange or top of the cartridge tube, (3) maneuvering the stopper to a distal opening of the insertion tube using an insertion pin, (4) retracting the insertion tube while the stopper remains in a fixed position within the syringe barrel or cartridge tube, and (5) fully retracting the insertion pin and the insertion tube from the syringe barrel or cartridge tube. The method is lubricant free or substantially lubricant free. The insertion tube may be electropolished and/or extrude honed.

INJECTION DEVICE
20260034305 · 2026-02-05 ·

An injection device comprising a main housing, a drive mechanism for providing motive force to deliver medication, and a shield attached to a proximal end of the main housing, the shield being coupled to the drive mechanism so that inward movement of the shield causes release of the drive mechanism to provide said motive force, and the shield being biased towards an extended position. The injection device further comprises a plurality of sensors including an in-use sensor coupled between the main housing and the shield, and a monitoring and reporting unit electrically coupled to the sensors for monitoring use. In a lower power mode, the in-use sensor is monitored whilst the other sensors and components are inoperable and, in a higher power mode, the other sensors and components are operable. Upon detection by the in-use sensor of inward movement of the shield the monitoring and reporting unit is switched from the lower power mode to the higher power mode.

Drive mechanism for an injection device

An injection device for expelling a number of preset or user-selectable doses of a medicament. The injection device includes: an elongated housing extending along a longitudinal axis, and a rotatable member and a counterpart member each comprising a first mechanical code and a second mechanical code, respectively. For setting a dose, the rotatable member is rotatable relative to the housing and relative to the counterpart member. During the setting of the dose, the rotatable member is constrained along the longitudinal axis relative to the housing or relative to the counterpart member. For expelling a dose, one of the rotatable member and the counterpart member is displaceable along the longitudinal axis into an expelling position relative to the other one of the rotatable member and the counterpart member only when the first mechanical code is aligned with the second mechanical code.

Cassette, medicine injection device, and medicine injection system

A cassette including: a cartridge holder including a first end, a second end having a holder opening, and a holder columnar space located between the first end and the second end and capable of accommodating a drug cartridge, drug cartridge including: a cylinder including a first end at which an injection needle is insertable/extractable, a second end at which a cylinder opening is located, and a cylinder columnar space located between the first end and the second end; a drug placed in the cylinder columnar space; and a gasket being placed in the cylinder columnar space; a cassette cap capable of opening and closing the holder opening, the cassette cap including a first end having a cap opening that is opposed to the holder opening, a second end having a piston insertion opening, and a cap columnar space located between the first end and the second end.
