The present disclosure relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a medicament receiving element, at least one fluid chamber having a fluid outlet configured to direct fluid vapour towards the medicament receiving element, a heating element for heating the fluid in the at least one fluid chamber. The device is configured such that, in use, the heating element heats the fluid in the at least one fluid chamber to at least partially evaporate the fluid so that the vapor pressure in the at least one fluid chamber increases until the fluid is expelled out of the at least one fluid chamber through the fluid outlet towards the medicament receiving element and entrains the medicament towards the patient's skin.

COMBINATION NEEDLELESS HYPODERMIC INJECTOR AND COVER SHEET AND RELATED METHODS

A combination needleless injector device for delivering a therapeutic effective amount of a fluid agent subcutaneously and a cover sheet for facilitating delivery of residual fluid not delivered by the needleless injector. The needleless injector has a discharge end and a drive end. The discharge end has a relatively small nozzle for fluid to discharge therethrough for delivery subcutaneously to a patient without a needle and the drive end has a piston held by a trigger and wherein a spring is pushed against the piston to drive the piston to then drive a plunger through the ampule to discharge the fluid medicament. The cover sheet has a liquid impermeable layer and an adhesive layer for surrounding an injection site.

An active agent or drug injecting device (10) includes a main housing (16) containing a trigger mechanism (24) which can be manually activated via release bar (32) or remotely triggered via wireless receiver (70) activating motor (74), and a second housing (80) containing an injection- and needle-assembly (22). The needle (30) encloses a dry carrier (26) having an active agent (12) disposed thereon. The trigger mechanism triggers the injection assembly to propel the needle into the skin (via spring (54)), to inject the active agent into a living organism (either by letting the active agent diffuse out of the needle or by actively flushing it out), and to subsequently retract the needle back into the housing (80) (via spring (64)).

Drug delivery device

A drug delivery device includes a blunt cannula and a reservoir. The blunt cannula has a cylindrical wall that defines an axial passage between a first end and a second end of the blunt cannula. The wall has at least a first tapered region at the first end to define an opening in fluid communication with the axial passage and adapted at the first end to resist interruption of fluid flow through the axial passage and out of the first end of the blunt cannula. The reservoir is connected to the second end of the blunt cannula.

A system (101) for treatment of an epithelial tissue layer (3) is provided. The system comprises a reservoir (107), for containing an amount of a flowable medium, arranged to enable the medium, when contained in the reservoir, to be in contact with a surface (5) of the epithelial tissue layer, a light source (109) for generating a laser beam (11) during at least a predetermined pulse time, and an optical system for focusing the laser beam into a focal spot (15), and for positioning the focal spot in a target position. The target position of the focal spot is within the reservoir and within the medium, when contained in the reservoir, and the dimension of the focal spot and the power of the generated laser beam are such that, in the focal spot, the laser beam has a power density, which is above the characteristic threshold value for the medium, above which, for the predetermined pulse time, a laser induced optical breakdown event occurs in the medium. A method for treatment of an epithelial tissue layer is also provided.

A wearable drug delivery device has a needle assembly and a drug vial arranged side-by-side. This arrangement makes the device compact so that it can be easily worn around a user's wrist, for example. When the user triggers the device to inject a dose of medication like epinephrine, in an orchestrated sequence, a first spring drives the needle assembly downward and inserts a needle into the user while connecting the needle assembly to the drug vial. A second spring then delivers the dose from the drug vial through the needle and into the user. Advantageously, the small form factor encourages the user to wear the device and have lifesaving medication at the ready.
