The movable contact member includes a contact protrusion part which is pressed in contact with the center portion contact at one end of the movable contact member and a first contact surface which is in contact with the fixed contact member at another end of the movable contact member, and which is operated to rotate around the center portion contact so as to short-circuit between the center portion contact and the fixed contact member at a conductive rotation position.
SOLENOID ASSEMBLY WITH DECREASED RELEASE TIME
A solenoid assembly includes the solenoid armature assembly having a flux tube or magnetic bearing having an opposed first end and a second end. The armature assembly additionally includes an armature having an opposed third end and a fourth end and movable within the flux tube or magnetic bearing along a mutual axis. The fourth end of the armature is slidably movable beyond the second end of the flux tube or magnetic bearing. A top plate facing the fourth end of the armature, the top plate having an opening for slidably receiving the central core. A slot is included in at least one of the flux tube or magnetic bearing, the armature, and the top plate to improve or decrease release time between the movable contacts and the stationary contacts.
ELECTROMAGNETIC DEVICE AND ELECTROMAGNETIC RELAY EQUIPPED WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC DEVICE
An electromagnetic device includes a coil, a fixed iron core, a movable iron core configured to reciprocate to separate from the fixed iron core by a predetermined gap when a current applied to the coil is stopped and move to the fixed iron core by an attractive force when the current is applied to the coil, and a permanent magnet. The permanent magnet is arranged so that the permanent magnet is opposed to the gap in a second direction perpendicular to a first direction and separated from the fixed iron core and the movable iron core with a space interposed therebetween. A direction of a second magnetic flux generated by the permanent magnet conforms to a direction of the first magnetic flux between opposed surfaces of the fixed iron core and the movable iron core.
ELECTROMAGNETIC DEVICE AND ELECTROMAGNETIC RELAY EQUIPPED WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC DEVICE
An electromagnetic device includes a fixed iron core through which a first magnetic flux flows, a movable iron core that reciprocates to separate from the fixed iron core by a predetermined gap when a current applied to a coil, which generates the first magnetic flux, is stopped and move to the fixed iron core by an attractive force when the current is applied to the coil. The electromagnetic device also includes a permanent magnet that generates a second magnetic flux. The opposed surface of the fixed iron core and the opposed surface of the movable iron core may be opposed in a reciprocating direction of the movable iron core. The permanent magnet may be attached to the fixed iron core such that a magnetized surface of the permanent magnet is opposed and exposed to the opposed surface of the movable iron core.
Relay
A relay includes a housing, an electric contact system in the housing, an electromagnetic system in the housing, and a magnetic blowing arc-extinguish device. The electric contact system includes a static contact with a static contact portion and a movable contact with a movable contact portion. The electromagnetic system is configured to drive the movable contact to move between a closed position in which the movable contact is in electrical contact with the static contact and an opened position in which the movable contact is separated from the static contact. The magnetic blowing arc-extinguish device includes a permanent magnet statically provided near the static contact and configured to lengthen an electric arc between the static contact portion and the movable contact portion by an electromagnetic force to extinguish the electric arc.
Electromagnetic drive unit for a switching device and switching device
An electromagnetic drive unit for a switching device includes: a magnetic core with a first, a second, and a third magnetic path each arranged transversely with respect to a longitudinal axis of the electromagnetic drive unit and coupled to longitudinal magnetic struts at respective ends to form a magnetic frame structure; an armature movable along the longitudinal axis between a first and a second state; and a first and a second magnetic coil for moving the armature based on excitation of the first and/or the second magnetic coil. The first magnetic coil is arranged between the first and the second magnetic path and the second magnetic coil is arranged between the second and the third magnetic path with respect to the longitudinal axis. The magnetic core and the magnetic coils are arranged such that a magnetic flux that flows through the magnetic paths to move the armature is adjustable.
FERROMAGNETIC PART FOR AN ELECTROMAGNETIC CONTACT, ITS MANUFACTURING PROCESS AND ITS USE
A new method for manufacturing a ferromagnetic part for an electromagnetic contactor, the ferromagnetic part having both particularly high impact mechanical durability, good ferromagnetic properties and good corrosion resistance, while integrating a non-magnetic gap. The method includes the following successive steps: a step a) of supplying a soft ferromagnetic metal blank part; and a step b) of electroless nickel plating at least one section of the blank part in order to obtain the ferromagnetic part, the section of which is surface coated with a nickel surface layer, with the obtained ferromagnetic part including the soft ferromagnetic metal, which, for at least one electroless nickel plated section, is disposed under the nickel surface layer.
