Provided are rapidly cross-linkable silicone foam compositions, kits, and methods for filling implanted medical devices in situ or in vivo, the implanted medical devices, including for example, body implants and tissue expanders, the compositions including a platinum divinyl disiloxane complex; a low viscosity vinyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane; a low viscosity hydride terminated polydimethylsiloxane; a silicone cross-linker; and a gas and/or gas-filled microcapsules, where the rapidly cross-linkable silicone foam composition has a viscosity of ≤150 cPs for ≥1 min. post-preparation and ≤300 cPs≤5 min. post-preparation, at ambient temperature.
Device for placing a stopper while simultaneously checking that the stopper is correctly positioned
A device places a plug and simultaneously checks a correct position alignment of the plug with a holding element for fixing a hollow body. The device has at least one first and one second opening and a plug placement mechanism with which the plug is be inserted into the second opening of the hollow body. The device has a measuring head that is traversed by at least one channel. The channel can be fluidically connected to the first opening of the hollow body. The device can further include a pressure sensor which can be fluidically connected to the channel of the measuring head.
DISPENSING DEVICE WITH SELECTABLE FLOW CHANNELS AND SEAL
A dispensing device (1) for dispensing a fluid, preferably an injection syringe. The device comprises a main body (2) which has a longitudinal axis (A) and has a receiving space (3) for receiving the fluid, and a connection channel (4) communicates with the receiving space. The connection channel opens on a valve face (5) of the main body. The device comprises a movable flow control element (6) arranged on the main body. The flow control element has one or more flow channels (7) which open on a valve face (8) of the flow control element. The connection channel of the main body and the flow channels of the flow control element are fluidically connected to each other by relative movement of main body and flow control element. A sealing element (10) is arranged between the valve face of the main body and the valve face of the flow control element.
ROTARY VALVE PUMP FOR AUTOMATIC DRUG COMPOUNDER
Various aspects of the subject disclosure relate to a compounder system having a cartridge that includes controllable fluid pathways. One or more rotary piston pump/valves may be used to move fluid and/or gasses through the various fluid pathways of the cartridge. For example, the cartridge may include a dedicated rotary piston pump/valve for each process that moves fluid and/or gas through the cartridge. When turning, the rotary piston pump/valve acts as a pump to move the fluid or gas, and when the rotary piston pump/valve stops turning, it effectively acts as a shutoff valve, preventing any fluid flow. Magnetic couplers for the cartridge may be provided on a pump head of the compounder system.
Apparatus for filling a syringe with a dose of fluid
An apparatus for filling a syringe with a verified dose of radiant fluid has a container holder that holds a container of the radiant fluid wherein a syringe oriented at a septum of the container can penetrate the septum. The syringe holder is configured to continuously grip the syringe, to drive the syringe to the container holder and penetrate the septum, to fill the syringe with a dose of the radiant fluid from the container, to drive the syringe to a transfer post, to drive the syringe to a metering zone of a metering station in order to verify that measured radiation is compatible with the dose, and to release the continuous grip.
SUCTION ADAPTOR FOR HIGHLY VISCOUS ENTERAL NUTRIENT
[Problem] To provide an economic suction adaptor that is capable of suctioning a highly viscous enteral nutrient to a gastric fistula catheter syringe without the intake of air.
[Solution] The number of people having meals of highly viscous enteral nutrients such as blended diets through a gastric fistula catheter is increasing among pediatric patients who need long-term intubation nutrients, and among elderly people who have trouble with oral intake. Suctioning a blended diet on a dish with a syringe alone is undesirable because air is introduced. The suction adaptor of the present invention is used by being connected to the syringe, wherein a suction tube having, on an upper portion thereof, a connection part connected to a nozzle of the syringe is formed in the middle of a bowl-shaped suction pad which is an elastic body.
SYRINGE ADAPTER FOR MEDICATION
Improved apparatus for use with medication in fluid form, which is particularly beneficial for medications having a relatively high viscosity. The disclosed syringe adapter has an opening that is relatively large, as compared to a conventional needle, and thus affixing the disclosed syringe adapter to a syringe improves syringeability of higher-viscosity medications. Some embodiments feature a lateral extension that prevents inserting the syringe adapter too far into a medicine bottle, and some embodiments feature a component that assists in firmly grasping. When the disclosed syringe adapter is affixed to a pistol-grip or tab-handled syringe, the medication withdrawn into the pistol-grip syringe can be more easily administered from the syringe barrel. In some embodiments, the syringe adapter will be replaced with a needle prior to injecting the medication, while in some other embodiments, the needle is affixed to the in-place syringe adapter for the injection.
PRE-FILLED SYRINGE WITH OPTIMIZED STOPPER PLACEMENT
A pre-filled syringe includes a barrel with a medicament and a stopper within the barrel. The stopper has at least two adjacent sealing rings and a trim ring. The syringe has a head space distance between a distal-most surface of the stopper and the surface of the medicament. The head space (a) provides sufficient space to optimize reconstituting a drug suspension by shaking or agitating the drug suspension, and (b) minimizes frothing and/or clogging of the reconstituted drug suspension in the barrel. Also, a kit includes the syringe, a plunger, a syringe cap, and a needle assembly. Further, a method for stoppering the syringe includes determining the head space distance.
DEVICE FOR APPLYING A FLUID
A device for administering a fluid, wherein, with the valve opened, fluid that is to be administered can be brought through the feed channel into the cylinder, and wherein a movement of the piston counter to the first direction towards the open dispensing end generates a positive pressure in the cylinder, such that, with the first valve opened, the fluid that is to be administered from the cylinder is dispensed via the open dispensing end, wherein, in order to seal the rear end of the cylinder, a first sealing element is arranged between the piston and the cylinder and a second sealing element is arranged spaced apart from the first sealing element along the first direction. The first sealing element can be a single-acting sealing element, and the second sealing element can be a single-acting or double-acting sealing element.
