Injection apparatus
An injection apparatus includes a counter wheel that is incremented by the dose delivery mechanism each time the device is fired. The apparatus includes a final dose disabling mechanism that prevents further usage once the final dose has been delivered. An anti-tamper feature is provided to prevent inadvertent or premature initialisation of the apparatus.
ADMINISTRATION INSTRUMENT FOR MEDICAL USE
An administration instrument includes an injection button which can be pressed at an angle that is not parallel to a needle with respect to a direction in which the needle is inserted into skin. As a result, it is possible to prevent a force of pressing the injection button from being transmitted in the direction in which the needle is inserted into the skin deeper than initial insertion of the needle, thereby achieving an administration under a stable state.
Two-stage reconstituting injector
An injector (10) for injecting a medicament into a patient. The injector includes a container (18) defining a first chamber (22), which contains a fluid therein, and a second chamber (23). The injector also includes an injection conduit (126) configured for directing the fluid fired from the container into the patient. A transfer mechanism is operable by a user to transfer the fluid from the first chamber to the second chamber in a first stage of operation, and a firing mechanism is operable by the user for firing the fluid from the second chamber through the injection conduit in a second stage of operation. An energy source (62) is in powering association with the firing mechanism to drive firing mechanism in the first and second stages.
Syringe with inspection window
Syringes and methods of using are described which protect materials within the syringe barrel cavity from contaminants and photo-chemical degradation. A syringe is provided having an inspection window for viewing medications or other materials within the cavity of a syringe barrel. The syringe barrel and other syringe components may be colored, opaque, darkened, amber, tinted; or the syringe barrel may have applied thereto polarizing filters; or materials having light polarizing properties can be used to manufacture the syringe barrel and other syringe components of the syringe to cancel particular components of light.
Selectable dose injection device
A substance delivery device for delivering a substance from a container includes a body, and a plunger movable with respect to the body so as to expel at least a portion of a substance from the container, a trigger mechanism, a latch member latched in a stationary position at least along the longitudinal axis of the device before use, and a lockout shroud movable along the longitudinal axis relative to the latch mechanism. User manipulation of the trigger mechanism causes the latch mechanism to become unlatched and move along the longitudinal axis and to cause movement of a plunger relative to the body, and in a first position of the lockout shroud along the longitudinal axis relative to the latch member, the lockout shroud prevents the trigger mechanism from unlatching the latch member, whereas in a second position the lockout shroud allows the trigger mechanism to unlatch the latch member.
DIABETES THERAPY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES
Diabetes management systems include an insulin delivery device and a monitoring device for detecting at least one characteristic relating to the insulin delivery device. Monitoring devices may comprise pen caps.
Device for attachment to an injection device
A supplementary device configured to be releasably attached to a drug delivery device. The supplementary device comprises a housing having a channel configured to slidably receive the drug delivery device; a first alignment feature to ensure a specific alignment of the supplementary device relative to the drug delivery device and restrict rotational movement of the supplementary device around a drug delivery device; and a second alignment feature to prevent sliding movement of the supplementary device relative to the delivery device once attached thereto. The second alignment feature comprises a moveable securing member biased towards the drug delivery device, and a release member operable to move the securing member out of engagement with the drug delivery device.
Apparatus for Detecting a Dose of Medicament Delivered from an Injection Device
In order to address a common need for cost efficient capturing of data relative to dosage and administration time in self-medication schemes, the present disclosure proposes an apparatus with an accessory and an injection device, wherein the accessory attaches and detaches to the injection device, the accessory housing a control unit; and the injection device includes a passive electronic arrangement and the control unit is configured to use the passive electronic arrangement to determine information correlating to a dose of medicament injected.
Apparatus and method for an integrated reuseable injection device with a medicine vial for home users
A portable handheld fluid-medicine-injection device for individual users, has a medicine vial has a substantially rectangular cross section that reduces a thickness profile of the device and a dispense mechanism coupled with the vial, the dispense mechanism has an inject push rod inside a threaded cylinder that reduces a length profile of the device. The device has a needle with a needle mount/dismount mechanism coupled with the medicine vial and a needle storage mechanism that stores the needle when not in use and replenishes the needle for reuse.
INSULIN INJECTION ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES
One or more embodiments of the disclosure relate, generally, to a system to assist with manual dosing of insulin. Such a system may include a glucose sensor system, a reusable insulin dosing detector, and a recommendation system. The reusable insulin dosing detector may be configured to be reversibly connectable to a disposable component that may form part of an insulin manual delivery assembly. The reusable insulin dosing detector may be configured to detect insulin delivery associated with the insulin manual delivery assembly. The recommendation system may be configured to analyze blood glucose data and determine adjustments to insulin therapy settings.
