Systems and methods for delayed drug delivery
Systems and methods for delayed delivery of a drug are disclosed. A drug delivery system may include a delivery member for insertion into a patient and a reservoir configured to receive a volume of a drug. An energy source may be activatable by the patient to actuate the reservoir to deliver the drug to the patient as a single bolus. A lockout system may be configured to have a locked state, wherein the lockout system prevents movement of the delivery member and/or activation of the energy source, and an unlocked state, wherein the lockout system permits movement of the delivery member and/or activation of the energy source. The lockout system may be configured to automatically change from the locked state to the unlocked state after a preselected time period has elapsed. An output element may generate a detectable output after the preselected time period has elapsed for notifying the patient.
Safe Syringe Device
The present invention relates to a novel safety syringe device. The device is a medication distribution system equipped with a bendable needle. The device comprises a syringe featuring a button-activated, bendable needle that can bend inwards toward the syringe after use. Further, the bent needle fits flush against the side of the syringe, inside a small, guided chamber. This allows a user to safely re-cap and discard a needle while eliminating the possibility of puncturing themselves with the needle.
Multiple use computerized injector
A computer-controlled injector for use with a medicament cartridge and including a housing having a medicament cartridge receiving volume and a medicament cartridge insertion and removal opening communicating with the medicament cartridge receiving volume; a pivot mount element mounted onto the housing for selectably enabling access to the medicament cartridge receiving volume via the opening; a mechanical latch selectably locking the pivot mount element in a closed operative orientation; and an injection drive mechanism including a computer-controlled motor for driving a piston, forming part of the medicament cartridge, for injecting a medicament, the computer-controlled motor also being operative for operating the mechanical latch.
Emergency devices
Described herein are syringe devices comprising a syringe including a therapeutic dose of at least one drug to be used in a drug or substance overdose.
SYRINGES AND MEDICAL DEVICES WITH WINDOWED LABELS
A syringe or medical device, especially adapted and suited for use with children, having a label with non-transparent and transparent portions positioned on the syringe or medical device so as to avoid covering measurement graduations or indicia needed by a medical practitioner for performing a medical procedure, such as an injection or blood collection, and using attention grabbing graphic images on the non-transparent portion of the label for distracting the patient's attention from fluids and/or hypodermic needles involved in the medical procedure.
Pen type drug injection device with absolute angular dose encoder mechanism
A drug delivery device comprising: a housing; a cylindrical member rotatably supported within the housing; and a plurality of sensors; wherein: the outer surface of the cylindrical member is provided with a single track, the track forming an encoder and having a plurality of first track segments and a plurality of second track segments arranged along the length of the track which are respectively capable of inducing first and second responses in the sensors; and in each rotational position of the cylindrical member relative to the housing at least one different first track segment is capable of inducing a first response in at least one said sensor, thereby enabling the rotational position of the cylindrical member relative to the housing to be determined.
Palm Activated Drug Delivery Device
A device configured to administer a medication can comprise a lower housing that includes a housing latch. The device can further comprise a needle guard that is movable relative to the lower housing along a first direction from a first position to a second position so as to expose a needle, and an upper housing supported relative to the lower housing. The upper housing can be configured to move with respect to the lower housing along a second direction from a pre-use position to a dispensed position. The housing latch can releasably interfere with the upper housing when the upper housing is in the pre-use position so as to prevent the upper housing from moving toward the dispensed position, and the movement of the needle guard toward the second position, causes the interference to be removed, thereby allowing the upper housing to move toward the second position.
Injector Device
An injector device comprising an elongate housing having a proximal end and a distal end, and configured to receive a container of medicament, a plunger rod moveable longitudinally within the housing between a primed position and a completed position, the plunger rod being configured to be engageable with a container of medicament. The housing comprises an indicator located in a proximal region of the housing. The indicator comprises a display window located in the proximal region of a side wall of the housing, a projection proximally extending from the plunger rod. The projection is coupled to the plunger rod and is visible through the display window in the primed position. The projection is configured to move between a first indicating position and a second indicating position to provide a user with information associated with a progress of an injection process dependent upon the longitudinal position of the plunger rod.
Injector with adjustable dosing
An injector for injecting a medicament in a patient. The injector includes a container comprising a fluid chamber containing a first volume of a medicament, and an injection conduit associated with the fluid chamber for defining a fluid pathway therefrom to inject the medicament from the fluid chamber through the injection conduit to an injection location. The injector also includes a firing mechanism associated with the fluid chamber for expelling the medicament from the fluid chamber through the injection conduit, and a volume-control mechanism operable to control a fraction of the first volume of medicament that is injected when the firing mechanism is actuated to inject the medicament.
AUTOINJECTOR
An autoinjector includes a housing in which a pre-filled syringe is arranged, a drive chassis mounted in the housing, the drive chassis being biased with respect to the housing and being fixed with respect to the housing in a storage state of the autoinjector, a status indicator window and a syringe window both providing visible feedback to a user about a state of use of the autoinjector.
