Re-useable injector device for syringe
An injector device includes an injector body that receives a syringe; and an injection assembly being configured to dispense medicament from the syringe in a dispensation step. Certain types of injector devices include a sudden completion indicator that indicates when the injection is completed. Certain types of injector devices are configured to dispense two different medicament formulations having different viscosities from syringes without making any changes to the injector devices other than to switch out the syringes. Certain types of injector devices include safety arrangements that inhibit firing of the injector device until front and rear housing assemblies are disposed in predetermined rotational and axial positions relative to each other.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A drug delivery device that includes a housing. The housing contains a syringe, and the syringe includes a container containing a liquid medicament. The container includes an aperture at a distal end and through which the liquid medicament can be dispensed. The syringe includes a stopper within the container. The stopper is moveable between a first longitudinal position and a second longitudinal position relative to the container, to cause dispensing of the liquid medicament through the aperture. The syringe includes at least one identifying means identifying the liquid medicament.
Spring-Driven Drug Delivery Device
The present invention relates to a drug delivery device (100) comprising a housing (101), a threaded piston rod (102), a rotatable drive tube (103), a drive nut (104) in threaded engagement with the piston rod (102) and being rotationally locked but axially moveable relative to the drive tube (103), and a support member (105) arranged rotationally free on the piston rod (102), the support member (105) being axially locked relative to the housing (101) and arranged to allow the drive tube (103) to move axially. The device further comprises a compression drive spring (106) arranged between the piston rod (102) and the drive tube (103), the compression drive spring (106) being arranged axially between the drive nut (104) and the support member (105).
DEVICE AND METHOD TO FACILITATE PLEURODESIS FOR MANAGEMENT OF FLUID DRAINAGE
A device, method, and system are provided for treating pleural effusion by administration of a chemical agent through a pleural catheter to achieve pleurodesis. A first embodiment includes a dual barreled syringe to deliver the sclerosing agent; one barrel includes a sclerosing agent, and the other barrel includes a flushing fluid. A kit of the invention comprises a plurality of syringe devices each preloaded with a sclerosing agent matched with a presumptive diagnosis regarding the etiology of the pleural effusion to be treated. A device of the invention includes a handheld, disposable, electronic delivery device with preloaded chambers holding selected medicaments and flushing fluid. Automatic delivery of medicaments is achieved in which a microcontroller of the device controls evacuation of the selected chambers by one or more actuators that communicate with the chambers.
Administration system, delivery device, and notification device for communicating status of a medical device
An administration system for delivery of a pharmaceutical composition to a patient has a delivery device configured to deliver a dose of the pharmaceutical composition to the patient and a notification device in communication with the delivery device. The notification device is configured to communicate information about a status of at least one property of the delivery device. The delivery device can be a wearable automatic injector configured to be worn on the patient's skin. The delivery device of the present disclosure may allow a user or the patient to view a status of a container. For example, the delivery device of the present disclosure may provide a simple and effective visual means of displaying fill confirmation and delivery confirmation.
Autoinjector having needle shield triggering
An autoinjector (100′) for expelling a single dose of a drug from a held cartridge (600) comprising a piston (630). The autoinjector includes a needle shield (350, 380′) axially movable from an initial extended position via a triggering position to a trigger release position. The needle shield (350, 380′) is operatively coupled to a plunger release element (320′, 1320) cooperating with a plunger (310, 400) to define a releasable retaining mechanism that retains the plunger release element (320′, 1320) threadedly engaged with a base thread component (204′, 1204) in a predefined relative rotational and axial position and against rotational bias provided by an actuator (330). The needle shield (350, 380′) is configured for operating the retaining mechanism to release the retaining of the plunger release element (320′, 1320) and the base thread component (204′, 1204) from the predefined relative rotational and axial position upon the needle shield (350, 380′) being moved into the trigger release position.
DOSE SETTING MECHANISM AND DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE WITH RATCHET MECHANISM
A dose setting mechanism comprising a first element and a second element; the first element being moveable with respect to the second element; the first element and the second element being coupled by a ratchet mechanism allowing motion of the first element with respect to the second element from a first position to a second position only in a first direction while preventing motion in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction; once passing the second position, the first element being moveable with respect to the second element in the first direction and in the second direction.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE COMPRISING A VISUAL INDICATOR
A pharmaceutical delivery device includes a cartridge containing a fluid. The cartridge includes a light pipe section having an input location and a light diffusing section optically coupled to the light pipe. A light source is optically coupled to the cartridge at the input location to the light pipe, such that at least some light from the light source entering at the input location is diffused at the light diffusing section.
APPARATUSES, METHODS, AND SYSTEMS FOR DELIVERING MEDICATION USING MEDICATION KITS
Aspects of the present disclosure disclose a system for delivering medication. In one aspect, the disclosure is directed a kit that includes a medical dispensing device with a label with a series of zones of varying widths, with each of the zones corresponding to a pre-determined volumetric dose of the drug that is correlated to one of the physical characteristics of a patient. In one specific example, the label is further affixed to the medicine dispensing device such that the smallest dose of the drug to be administered corresponds to a first zone that is proximate an opening through which the drug is to be dispensed.
Pen-type injection device and electronic clip-on module therefor
The present invention relates to a supplementary device for a manually operable injection device. The device has a body and a mating unit configured to releasably mount the body to the injection device in a specific position relative to an outside surface of the injection device.
