Housing assembly for an electrical switch
A housing assembly is for an electrical switching apparatus. The housing assembly includes a base, a cover, and only one single coupling member extending through the base and the cover in order to couple the base to the cover.
BIT PATTERN SEQUENCE COMPRESSOR
An electric power system may include numerous devices electrically connected to numerous other devices. In some cases, it may be beneficial to quickly determine and resolve an electric power system topology. The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for resolving an electric power system topology using bit pattern sequence compression. A multi-node device may be electrically coupled to one node per side. Each node may be associated with a bit value. The bit values may be compared to determine if the nodes are electrically coupled. This process may be recursively performed for all of the multi-node devices, until it is determined which devices are electrically coupled and which are electrically isolated.
CIRCUIT BREAKER HAVING CIRCUIT OPERATING DEVICE
A circuit breaker having a circuit operating device according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a circuit unit having a main circuit, a detecting unit having a detection circuit for detecting a fault current in the main circuit, and a circuit operating device configured to allow connection or isolation between the main circuit and the detection circuit, wherein the circuit operating device includes a first fixed unit and a second fixed unit connected to the main circuit and the detection circuit, respectively, and arranged in parallel to each other, and a moving unit rotatably coupled between the first fixed unit and the second fixed unit to connect or isolate the main circuit and the detection circuit to or from each other.
MOLDED-CASE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR DC
The present invention relates to a molded-case circuit breaker for direct current (DC), and more particularly, to a molded-case circuit breaker for DC in which a connecting conductor for connecting terminals in the DC circuit breaker is configured as an assembly unit and contained in a terminal receiving portion to improve insulation performance and assemblability and reduce occupied space. There is provided a molded-case circuit breaker for DC that contains a plurality of interruption units, the DC circuit breaker including a terminal connecting unit that connects terminals of adjacent interruption units, the terminal connecting unit being placed within a terminal receiving portion on the front or rear of an outer casing of the circuit breaker.
SENSOR POSITIONING AND INSTALLATION FIXTURE
An apparatus for positioning and attaching one or more sensor devices to a surface of an electrical component is described. The apparatus comprises one or more sensor devices and a stencil fixture that holds at least one of the one or more sensor devices, where the stencil fixture positions the sensor at a location proximate to a surface of the electrical component prior to attaching the sensor to the surface of the electrical component
Electrical switching apparatus assembly, and module assembly and operating method therefor
A module assembly is for an electrical switching apparatus assembly. The electrical switching apparatus assembly includes an electrical switching apparatus having a housing, a pair of separable contacts located internal with respect to the housing, and a shunt trip device for tripping open the pair of separable contacts. The module assembly includes a mounting member structured to be coupled to the housing, and an internet of things (IOT) module coupled to the mounting member. The IOT module is structured to be electrically connected to the shunt trip device in order to trip open the pair of separable contacts.
CIRCUIT BREAKERS
A circuit breaker can include a moveable electrical contact configured to be moved between an open position and a closed position, and a lever assembly configured to prevent the progressive closing of the moveable electrical contact to the closed position such that the lever assembly is configured to cause snap action closing of the moveable electrical contact at a charged position of a motorized slider.
Tripping device of circuit breaker
A tripping device of a circuit breaker of the present disclosure may reinforce a magnetic force on a main magnetic flux path using a plurality of magnetic force reinforcing plates without using an additional plate yoke on an actuator provided in the circuit breaker to miniaturize the size of the actuator, thereby having an effect of allowing a control circuit unit provided at an outer portion of the circuit breaker to be installed at an inner portion of the circuit breaker to miniaturize the whole size of the circuit breaker.
Trip bar stop
An operating mechanism including a number of biasing elements and a number of linkage members is provided. The linkage members are operatively coupled to each other and each are movable between a second configuration, an initial tripped configuration, a rebound configuration, and a final tripped configuration. The biasing elements are operatively coupled to the number of linkage members and bias the number of linkage members to the final, first configuration. A stop member is coupled to one of the linkage members. The stop member moves with the associated linkage member. The stop member is positioned to contact a stop surface when the linkage members are in the rebound configuration. Contact between the stop member and the stop surface substantially arrests the motion of the linkage members.
ELECTRICAL SWITCHING APPARATUS AND SHUNT TAB ASSEMBLY THEREFOR
A shunt tab assembly is for an electrical switching apparatus, such as a circuit breaker. The electrical switching apparatus includes a housing, separable contacts enclosed by the housing, an operating mechanism for opening and closing the separable contacts, and a number of shunts. The operating mechanism includes a trip unit. The shunt tab assembly includes a shunt tab structured to be electrically connected to the shunts, a biasing element structured to bias the shunt tab toward a predetermined position with respect to the housing, and a fastener structured to mechanically couple and electrically connect the trip unit to the shunt tab.
