A circuit interrupter adapted to be detachably connected to a rail system includes a housing having a notch disposed thereon adapted to receive a first leg of the rail system. An engagement member having a notch disposed therein adapted to receive a second leg of the rail system is slideably carried by the housing such that the notch in the engagement member is moveable in a first plane toward and away from the notch in the housing between an engaged position and a disengaged position. An actuation member is slideably carried by the housing and is moveable in a second plane, different than the first plane, between an actuated position and an unactuated position, movement of the actuation member in the second plane being translated into movement of the engagement member in the first plane.

Breaker Plugs, Systems and Methods

Breaker/plug combination device with “plug-in” receptacle that mounts in a breaker panel. The plug receptacle connects line feed to a power cord inserted by the operator. The devices include a multifunction circuit interrupt that offers overload, thermal, and ground fault (GFCI) protection for the operator in environments such as garages, shops and spider boxes at construction sites, for example, and for electric vehicle (EV) charging. Given the shortage of charging stations for EVs, the devices offer a convenient way to set up home charging without the need for an electrician, a sub-box, or a specially-installed wall plug outlet. The devices may include watchdog circuitry and networkable communications circuitry that is compatible with a wired or wireless TOT network. In another embodiment that does not require adding a new circuit breaker, a dummy breaker body includes a plug receptacle with a GFCI interrupt circuit but with no direct electrical connection to the hot bus bar, and is wired in series with a conventional circuit breaker unit. Using solid state electronics, the GFCI panel-mounted devices may be configured to perform an automatic fault test on a regular schedule or prior to each use, and to store and report fault status.

Hanging bracket device for electrical equipment

An apparatus includes a circuit breaker and mounting bracketry fastened to the rear side of the circuit breaker. The mounting bracketry includes first and second spacer portions extending rearward from a respective locations inside the width of the circuit breaker unit, first and second fixation portions extending outward from the first and second spacer portions, respectively, to respective positions outside the width of the circuit breaker, and first and second hook portions extending rearward from the first and second fixation portions, respectively. The circuit breaker may be mounted to an electrical enclosure with the first hook portion and the second hook portion engaging a mounting rail of the electrical enclosure.

An apparatus for attaching a panel mounted electrical component includes an L-shaped bracket. The bracket includes a horizontal member having a frontward facing edge and a rearward facing edge. The bracket further includes an opening on the horizontal member that is configured for receiving a panel mounted electrical component. A vertical member is aligned along the rearward facing edge of the horizontal member. The vertical member is integral with the horizontal member and defines a ninety-degree angle. A plurality of openings located on the vertical member are configured for receiving fasteners to attach an outward facing surface of the vertical member to a surface. The bracket also includes a lip that is vertically aligned along the frontward facing edge of the horizontal member. The lip is integral with the horizontal member and defines a ninety-degree angle.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ADDING A CONTACTOR AT OR NEAR AN MSD

A system may be configured to replace a manual service disconnect (MSD). Some embodiments may: provide a set of batteries that include an MSD; remove the MSD; and install a contactor at the MSD. The replacement may be performed via substantially similar housing previously used by the MSD.

Electric remote drive for actuating a switching device of an electric installation and a remote drive assembly
11239034 · 2022-02-01 · ·

A remote drive with a support element for a top-hat-rail mounting. Opposing actuators disposed on the support element alternatingly act on a displaceably mounted slider by rod-shaped anchors. A slider passage receives a first lever arm of a rocker lever pivotable about a rotational axis parallel to the top hat rail length and nearly passes through a rotational point of a shift lever of a switching device. A carrier rail on a second lever arm is parallel to the top hat rail length, the shift lever engaging the carrier rail to the side of the second lever arm. When the slider is displaced, the rocker lever flips simultaneously activate the shift lever. In a remote drive assembly, two remote drives are disposed adjacent to one another on a top hat rail with a locking mechanism. Alternatively, individually controlled actuators act on first and second legs of a T-shaped rocker switch.

Low voltage circuit breaker

A low voltage circuit breaker is provided. The low voltage circuit breaker includes a contact system with a first contact and a second contact that are electrically connectable and disconnectable relative to one another. The first contact includes a body having a first layer and a second layer, wherein the first layer is arranged on the second layer and is configured to come in contact with the second contact for providing the electrical connection with the second contact. The first layer has a first material composition having an Ag content that is higher than an Ag content of a second material composition of the second layer. Further, the first material composition has a WC content that is lower than a WC content of the second material composition.
