In one embodiment, a rotary actuation device is configured to transition between a first position and a second position in response to each of a manual adjustment, an activation of an electrical actuator, and a force generated by a deck device. The rotary actuation device may be at least one deck device configured to exert a force in response to a condition. The force may cause the rotary actuation device to transition between the first position and the second position. The rotary actuation device may further include an electrical actuator configured to generate a motion upon activation. A rotary latch mechanism coupled to the electrical actuator and may cause the rotary actuation device to transition from the first position to the second position.

ACTUATOR ALTERNATING INDICATOR LIGHT

An exemplary embodiment of a load control device with a light indicator is disclosed. The load control device may include an actuator assembly and a light source. The actuator assembly may include a frame, a light pipe, and an actuator having two surfaces. The light pipe may be arranged within the actuator and include first and second legs. The first leg may extend towards the first surface, and the second leg may extend towards the second surface. When the actuator is in a first position, the light source may be optically aligned with one of the first and second legs; and, when the actuator is in a second position, the light source may be optically aligned with the other of the first and second legs. When the light source is illuminated, the light pipe may direct the light towards the respective surface of the actuator.

Circuit protective device fault diagnostic translator

An apparatus (100) and method are provided for translating diagnostic information provided by a circuit protective device, such as a circuit breaker, to a graphic display format. The apparatus and method monitor through a sensor (120) a trip sequence implemented by the circuit protective device as a function of time during a read out operation to indicate a type of fault condition from a plurality of fault conditions for a prior occurrence of a trip event or diagnostic information. The apparatus and method then determine a time period of the monitored trip sequence, and determine the type of fault condition based on the determined time period. Information concerning the determined type of fault condition is outputted.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING A TRIPPING RANGE OF AN ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT SWITCHING DEVICE

A method and system for determining a tripping range of an electrical circuit switching device designed to supply power to an electrical installation. The system includes an electronic calculation module which is configured to receive data from at least one vibration sensor integrated into said switching device and which is configured to select, based on spectrograms calculated from temporal vibration signals acquired, a predetermined subset of operational characteristics; apply a prediction model parameterized by supervised machine learning to the values of the operational characteristics so as to obtain an estimated value of cut-off current, and determine, as a function of the estimated value of cut-off current, a tripping range of the switching device amongst: normal tripping, overload tripping, and tripping following a short circuit.

An electrical switching apparatus includes a body and a display apparatus. The body has a housing, a handle partially extending through the housing, separable contacts located within the housing, an operating mechanism structured to open and close the separable contacts, a main printed circuit board located within the housing, and a number of electrical rating settings associated with the main printed circuit board. Each of the number of electrical rating settings has a magnitude. The display apparatus is electrically connected to the main printed circuit board and is structured to display the magnitude of at least one of the number of electrical rating settings.

Status indicator for switchgear

A switchgear assembly includes an indicator assembly to indicate whether a movable contact is in an open or a closed position. The indicator assembly includes an indicator body having first and second sections. The indicator body is rotatable to display the first section in the open position and the second section in the closed position. The indicator assembly also includes a drive gear having a first helical spline and coupled to an actuator of the switchgear assembly such that operation of the actuator moves the drive gear, and an elongated driven gear having a second helical spline extending along a length of the driven gear and engaged with the first helical spline of the drive gear such that movement of the drive gear rotates the driven gear. The driven gear is coupled to the indicator body such that rotation of the driven gear causes rotation of the indicator body.

Provided is a molded case circuit breaker eliminating the necessity to install a communication unit and a particular communication medium and allowing for checking an fault type from a front indication operation panel of an enclosure of a power distributing board or from a remote area by simply connecting two signal lines for transmitting a relay switching signal as an accident current indication signal, the circuit breaker comprises a relay assembly including a plurality of fault indicating relays installed in the circuit breaker and configured to generate a fault current indication signal by opening or closing a contact when the indication command signal of a fault current is received from the electronic trip unit, and a signal output terminal configured to output a fault type indication signal of the fault indicating relays to the outside of the circuit breaker.

Trip indication using adjacent circuit breakers

An indicator system for an electronic miniature circuit breaker that has tripped and therefore has no power to provide its own trip indication comprises a breaker in a tripping state and an adjacent breaker in a nontripping state, both with aligned indicator light tubes and data transmission lines or light pipes. The tripped, or tripping, breaker sends a Notice of Trip Data signal before its contacts open and its power goes out, or does so on reserve power. A neighboring breaker's transceiver receives the Notice of Trip Data signal, encodes it, and then repeats it back via an LED and indicator light tube to the tripped breaker. The trip occurrence has opened a shutter on the tripped breaker which allows it to display the repeated Notice of Trip Data signal as a visible light indication through an indicator window in its top wall.
