Bus mounted surge protection devices
Bus mounted surge protection devices are provided that are configured to be positioned in a panelboard alongside one or more similarly sized circuit breaker devices. The bus mounted surge protection device is configured to be received by a same provisional bus as the one or more circuit breaker devices and the bus mounted surge protection device is configured to protect all of the one or more circuit breaker devices in the panelboard.
Electrical switching system
An electrical switching system of a circuit breaker, with a first busbar extending in a longitudinal direction, which carries a first contact and a second contact spaced apart therefrom in the longitudinal direction, and which has a first power connection, and with a second busbar extending in the longitudinal direction, which carries a first counterpart contact and a second counterpart contact spaced apart therefrom in the longitudinal direction, and which has a second power connection. The second busbar is mounted so as to be movable in a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, wherein the first busbar partially overlaps the second busbar along the longitudinal direction. In the longitudinal direction, the contacts and the counterpart contacts are arranged between the two power connections in the overlap region.
SWITCH ASSEMBLY FOR MOUNTING ON A MOUNTING RAIL
A switch assembly for mounting on a mounting rail, having a power supply unit and having a switchgear. The power supply unit has a housing and a power supply, arranged therein, which comprises a first connection and a second connection. A contact region having a first contact, which is in electrical contact with the first connection, and having a second contact, which is in electrical contact with the second connection, is introduced into the housing. The housing has a fastening apparatus for direct placement on the mounting rail, and the switchgear comprises an additional housing having an additional fastening apparatus for direct placement on the mounting rail. The switchgear has a lever which is pivotably mounted on the additional housing and which has a first counterpart contact and a second counterpart contact.
Power distributor
A power distributor having a plurality of power distribution modules arranged in a row, for directly mounting on a carrier rail, having a supply module arranged on one end face and a signal module arranged on the opposite end face, and having at least one connection module arranged therebetween. The supply module has a supply connection for a main power line for tapping off a supply power. The connection module is fitted or can be fitted with a protective switch that can be actuated and a plurality of load connections for connecting to an interruptible load circuit by means of the protective switch. The signal module has a first signal connection for a switch signal actuating the protective switch, and the power distribution modules are or can be coupled to each other in an electrically conductive manner.
Control system and method of mounting a control system
A control system and a method for mounting a control system, the control system comprising a signal-distribution board, a top-hat rail, at least a first contact device and at least a second contact device. The first contact device and the second contact device are arranged at the signal-distribution board with an offset relative to each other with the signal-distribution board electrically connecting the first contact device to the second contact device for at least transmitting data. The top-hat rail is mechanically fastened to the signal-distribution board and a first coupling module may be mechanically fastened to the top-hat rail, where the second contact device is embodied to electrically contact a signal-processing module or a second coupling module. The first contact device may be electrically connected to a field device.
SAFETY APPARATUS HAVING TERMINAL SHIELD WITH INDICATION CIRCUIT, AND CIRCUIT INTERRUPTION APPARATUS
A safety apparatus is a terminal shield having an indication circuit incorporated therein. The safety apparatus is usable with a circuit interrupter to overlie one or more terminals of the circuit interrupter that are connected with line and load conductors and to thereby form a circuit interrupter apparatus. The safety apparatus can be employed at the line side of a circuit interrupter, at the load side of a circuit interrupter, or at both sides of a circuit interrupter. The safety apparatus can be provided as part of a new circuit interrupter apparatus or can be provided to retrofit existing circuit interrupters. The indication circuit advantageously outputs from a top surface of the terminal shield one of a visual indication and an audible indication when one or more terminals of the circuit interrupter are electrified, thereby easily conveying to a technician the portions of the circuit interrupter that are electrified.
CONDUCTOR ASSEMBLY FOR A POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
An electrical conductor assembly for use in a power distribution assembly includes an electrical conductor and a casing covering at least a portion of the electrical conductor. A spring member is mounted to the casing and configured to apply a compressive force to the electrical conductor.
CONDUCTOR ASSEMBLY FOR A POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
An electrical conductor assembly for use in a power distribution assembly includes an electrical conductor. A casing covers at least a portion of the electrical conductor. The casing insulates the at least a portion of the electrical conductor.
DC CIRCUIT BREAKER
A DC circuit breaker according to various embodiments may comprise: a first terminal unit connected to a power source; and a second terminal unit connected to the first terminal unit and connected to a load, wherein the first terminal unit includes at least a pair of first terminals connected to each other in parallel and connected to the power source, and the second terminal unit includes at least a pair of second terminals corresponding respectively to the first terminals and connected to each other in parallel so as to be connected to the load.
CIRCUIT BREAKER HOUSING
A circuit breaker housing for holding a switching device unit and a number of connection contacts for a connection line and/or a busbar. The housing has a first housing part and a second housing part. In the joined, assembled state, the housing parts form a front side and a rear side opposite said front side and at least one connection side and end faces located opposite one another. A holding chamber for a connection module having one of the connection contacts is provided on the front side and/or on at least one of the connection sides.
