The electrical switching apparatus includes a mechanical referencing member common to the control mechanism and to each auxiliary module, for the positioning of the control mechanism and of each auxiliary module in the casing.
MOLDED-CASE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR DC
The present invention relates to a molded-case circuit breaker for direct current (DC), and more particularly, to a molded-case circuit breaker for DC that contains an internal connecting conductor connecting adjacent terminals to improve insulation performance and assemblability and reduce occupied space. There is provided a molded-case circuit breaker for DC that contains a plurality of interruption units within an outer casing, the DC circuit breaker including a two-unit connecting heater that connects fixed contacts of adjacent interruption units, the two-unit connecting heater being placed within the outer casing.
TWO-ELECTRIC-POLE CIRCUIT BREAKER ACTUATED BY A COMMON PYROTECHNIC DEVICE
Two electric poles are controlled in one and the same circuit breaker by an undivided opening mechanism controlled by a pyrotechnic actuator. The opening of the circuit that is brought about by this actuator, which is fast for a large opening travel of the mobile contacts, makes it possible to extinguish electric arcs under good conditions. The poles may be placed in series on one and the same electrical circuit in order to reduce the potential difference across the terminals of each of them, thereby further increasing the effectiveness of the circuit breaker in terms of arc extinguishing.
Multiple configuration switching assembly
A switching assembly includes an operating assembly and a fixed contact assembly including a first fixed contact, a second fixed contact, a third fixed contact, a fourth fixed contact, and a number of terminals. The number of terminals includes a first terminal, a second terminal, and a third terminal. The switching assembly also includes a movable contact assembly that includes a first movable contact and a second movable contact. The first movable contact is movable between a first position and a second position. The second movable contact is movable between a first position and a second position. The operating assembly is coupled to the movable contact assembly and moves the first and second movable contact assemblies between the first and second positions. The switching assembly also includes a shunt assembly including a number of shunts. The shunt assembly is configured in one of a series configuration or a parallel configuration.
Low-profile electronic circuit breakers, systems, and methods
A low-profile electronic circuit breaker includes first and second electrical branches coupled to respective first and second load terminals. The electronic circuit breaker also includes an electronic processing circuit configured to monitor an electrical condition in the first and second electrical branches. The electronic circuit breaker is packaged in a housing sized to occupy a standard single-pole breaker panelboard location. In some embodiments, the electronic circuit breaker has no load neutral terminals associated with the first and second load terminals. Methods of assembling an electronic circuit breaker are provided, as are other system and method aspects.
