A circuit breaker lockout apparatus includes a base body having a first section, a second section, and a recess formed between the first and second sections to receive a switch lever of a circuit breaker; a fixing element installed at the first section of the base body and having an actuation section to fix the base body to a switch lever of a circuit breaker received in the recess; and a cover adjustably fastened between a release position and a lockout position at the base body, the actuation section of the fixing element is accessible in the release position and is covered in an inaccessible manner by the cover in the lockout position, and the cover is configured to be fixed to the base body in the lockout position to block an adjustment of the cover from the lockout position into the release position.

An arc quenching device creates a fault on a bus. A lockout mechanism of a circuit breaker feeding the bus is responsively actuated. CIRCUIT INTERRUPTERS WITH LOCKOUT FEATURE AND RELATED METHODS
Circuit breakers are disclosed that include a housing with a line side and a load side, a printed circuit board in the housing, a movable contact arm with an electrical contact, a stationary line side contact, a primary trip solenoid in the housing coupled to the printed circuit board, an armature in the housing, a bimetal member in the housing adjacent the armature and adjacent the primary trip solenoid; and a lockout assembly in the housing. The lockout assembly includes a rod configured to have a first inactive position and a second lockout position. When in the second position and/or as the rod travels to the second lockout position, the rod directly or indirectly pushes the armature toward the bimetal member to physically lock out the circuit breaker to prevent conduction and separate the line side contact from the movable contact arm electrical contact.

Disconnector device and arrangement for disconnecting a contactor
A disconnector device is provided for disconnecting an electrical circuit, wherein the electrical circuit is switched by a contactor between an open position and a closed position, the disconnector device using the contactor for disconnecting the electric circuit. The disconnector device locks the contactor in the open position, in which open position contacts of the contactor are in a first position disconnecting the electrical circuit. An arrangement including the disconnector device and a contactor is also provided.

A method is disclosed for operating a circuit breaker, the circuit breaker. The circuit breaker includes an operating lever, a latching mechanism and an electrical contact system with a movable contact and a fixed contact. The operating lever is movable into an ON-position and an OFF-position. Further, the operating lever is mechanically connected via the latching mechanism to the contact system such that when the operating lever is in its OFF-position, the contacts of the electrical contact system are opened and when the operating lever is in its ON-position, the contacts of the electrical contact system are closed. Further, such a circuit breaker is also disclosed.
