Circuit interrupter with status indication
A circuit interrupter having a status indicator providing a current status of the circuit interrupter, the status indicator presenting one of: an On state, an Off state or a Fault state. The status indication is provided as a visual status and is color coded to one of the three circuit interrupter states. The circuit interrupter further including, in one configuration, a rocker actuator that rotates about an axis and the status indication mechanism is coupled to the rocker actuator.
Magnetic trip device for circuit breaker
The present disclosure relates to a magnetic trip device for a circuit breaker capable of maintaining fault information indication until a user removes the cause of an accident subsequent to a trip operation and resets the magnetic trip device. The device comprises an actuator coil part having a plunger; an output plate; a micro switch outputting an electrical signal indicating a state of the circuit breaker; a switch driving lever mechanism rotating to press and releasing the micro switch; a driving lever bias spring elastically biasing the switch driving lever mechanism to rotate; an automatic reset mechanism pressing the plunger to a retracted position; and a driving lever latch rotating to a restraining position for preventing the switch driving lever mechanism from rotating to a first position, and a release position allowing the switch driving lever mechanism-to rotate to the first position.
Overcurrent tripping device and circuit breaker employing same
An overcurrent tripping device includes a tripping conductor connected to the main circuit; a fixed core inside which the tripping conductor penetrates and which is excited by current flowing through the tripping conductor; a movable core which is arranged to be opposed to the fixed core with a magnetic gap therebetween, and which forms a magnetic circuit in cooperation with the fixed core, and moves by being attracted by the fixed core when overcurrent flows through the tripping conductor; and a shaft fixed to the movable core to guide the movement of the movable core, and linked to the tripping mechanism of the circuit breaker, wherein the fixed core has a narrow gap formed in such a direction as to cross the magnetic circuit, so that magnetic saturation is suppressed by the narrow gap.
Adapters for Obtaining Operational Data from Circuit Breakers and Related Systems and Methods
A system includes a circuit breaker and an adapter. The circuit breaker includes a front face with a light source on the front face. The adapter is configured to be releasably held on the front face in an installed position. The adapter includes a light sensor that aligns with the light source in the installed position. The light source and the light sensor are configured to communicate such that the adapter receives operational data from the circuit breaker in the installed position.

CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER, TRIP DECK ASSEMBLY, AND SUPPORT FOR SWITCH THEREFOR
An improved multi-pole circuit interrupter includes an improved trip deck assembly adjacent one pole and further includes an accessory deck adjacent another pole. The accessory deck includes conventional accessory devices such as an auxiliary switch, etc., and the trip deck assembly includes switches and one or more other devices that can interact with a crossbar and a trip bar of the circuit interrupter. Such switches can be easily installed by a technician in the field after manufacture of the circuit interrupter. One switch is held in place by a support, and the other switch is held in place by a retainer, with the support and the retainer holding the switches in a fixed position on the trip deck assembly in order to interact with the crossbar and the trip bar.
