Port interface for drug delivery device
A drug delivery device includes a housing, a cartridge received within the housing, with the cartridge configured to receive a medicament, a drive assembly received within the housing and configured to engage the cartridge and dispense medicament from the cartridge, and a needle actuator assembly received within the housing, with the needle actuator assembly including a patient needle configured to pierce a patient's skin. A bottom surface of the housing defines a port interface configured to receive an implanted injection port.
Ophthalmic device
An ophthalmic device including a cannula having a cannula distal end, a lumen, and one or more orifices coupled to the lumen is provided. The cannula is configured to deliver a fluid. A sleeve is disposed around the cannula and has a sleeve distal end. A handle is coupled to the sleeve and the cannula, the handle having an actuator. An internal mechanism is coupled to the actuator and configured to retract the sleeve relative to the cannula. The internal mechanism includes a follower fixedly coupled to the sleeve and moveable between distal and proximal positions, and a release member movable between an activated position and a release position. The release member is coupled to the actuator and configured to release a force that urges the follower from the distal position to the proximal position when the release member moves from the activated position to the release position.
Spacer assembly for drug delivery device
A drive assembly for a drug delivery system including a plunger member configured to engage and move a stopper within a container, a biasing member configured to move the plunger member, and an adjustable spacer assembly positioned between the plunger member and the stopper. The spacer assembly includes a spacer element attached to the stopper and at least one shim or includes a spacer element and a holder to which the spacer element is attached. The holder may be attached to the stopper and the spacer element may be attached to the holder by a threaded engagement. Also, a drug delivery system for injecting a medicament, the system including a container configured to receive a medicament, the container comprising a stopper configured to move within the container and a closure, a drive assembly as described above, and a needle actuator assembly.
Medication delivery system with control valve
Valves and medication delivery systems including valves are described herein. A valve includes a valve body and a valve element. The valve body defines a first flow path, a second flow path, and a catheter flow path. The valve element is disposed within the valve body, wherein the valve element is configured to permit fluid communication between the first flow path and the second flow path in a priming position, and is configured to permit fluid communication between the first flow path and the catheter flow path in a dispensing position.
Injection Device
A controlled multidosing delivery device for use with a syringe includes a housing, a plunger rod and a drive shell. The housing having an axially extending chamber including openings at either end, the distal end being adapted for attachment to the syringe barrel. The plunger rod includes a contact button at the proximal end of an elongated shaft and a pusher feature at the distal end. The drive shell is disposed for axial translation within the axially extending chamber. The drive shell includes a head disposed for translation along the axis to provide dose delivery, a plurality of engagement surfaces for engagement by the pushing feature, and a retention feature that inhibits proximal movement of the drive shell when engaged. Depression of the contact button axially translates the elongated shaft and pusher feature in engagement with the at least one of the engagement surfaces to translate the drive shell in the distal direction, whereby the retention feature engages to maintain axial position of the drive shell in the housing following dose delivery, and a biasing structure translates the plunger rod in the proximal direction following translation of the drive shell.
Flush syringe with disinfecting feature
Flush syringe assemblies are described herein. Such flush syringe assembly may include a barrel including a side wall defining a chamber, an open proximal end, a distal end having a distal wall with an elongate tip extending distally therefrom having a passageway therethrough in fluid communication with said chamber. A collar may be mounted on the distal wall of the barrel and surrounding the elongate tip. A disinfectant-loaded swab may be disposed in the collar. The flush syringe assembly may also include a removable cap.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR PRECISION DOSE DELIVERY
Disclosed herein are devices and methods for delivering a predetermined volume of a drug substance or other product including a fluid. An exemplary device may include a body configured to receive a drug substance therein, and a plunger rod disposed at least partially inside the body to distally move a stopper in the body. The device may include a component configured to regulate distal movement of the plunger rod in a priming step and in a subsequent delivery step, so that the device may be accurately primed and may accurately dispense a predetermined volume of a drug substance.
Arrangement for a drug delivery device
A drug delivery device includes a housing, a blocking feature rotationally secured relative to the housing, a drive unit, a rod operatively coupled to the drive unit and arranged to move distally relative to the housing when the rod is released, and a movable trigger member. The rod is rotatable relative to the housing and has an unprimed state and a primed state. In the unprimed state, the blocking feature is arranged to block a rotation of the rod into the release position, and in the primed state, a trigger member feature is arranged to block rotation of the rod into the release position. The trigger member is arranged to move relative to the housing to release the rod. To switch from the unprimed state into the primed state, the trigger member moves and a movement is converted into an axial movement of the rod relative to the blocking feature.
MEDICAMENT INJECTION PEN FOR DISTINGUISHING BETWEEN PRIMING PEN EVENTS AND THERAPEUTIC PEN EVENTS
This application relates to a medicament delivery device such as medicament injection pen that can distinguish between a priming dosage and the injection of therapeutic dosage into a patient. In one aspect, the medicament injection device includes a housing having a chamber configured to contain a cartridge of medicament, and a dose setting and dispensing mechanism configured to set and dispense a dose of the medicament from the cartridge. The device may also include a logging module configured to detect and record as a pen event a dispensed volume of a medicament dose and a time when the medicament dose is dispensed. The device may further include a dose distinguisher configured to distinguish between pen events associated with priming doses and pen events associated with therapeutic doses based at least in part on historical user data identifying pen events as a therapeutic pen event or a priming pen event.
Injection device
Disclosed is an injection device for receiving a syringe therein and for delivering a dose of medicament from the syringe, the injection device including: an insertion driver configured to drive the syringe forwards within the injection device for inserting a needle of the syringe into an injection site; an interlock mechanism configured to retain the insertion driver in a primed state and, when actuated, to allow the insertion driver to drive the syringe forwards; and an interlock actuator moveable between a stowed position and an operable position and configured on movement from the stowed position to the operable position to couple to an actuation system such that movement from the operable position back towards the stowed position actuates the interlock mechanism.
