The MUDS further has a plunger reciprocally movable within a syringe interior between the proximal end and the distal end. A manifold is in fluid communication with the distal end of the at least one syringe. At least one valve is in fluid communication with the syringe interior. The at least one valve is operable between a filling position for filling the syringe interior with fluid and a delivery position for delivering the fluid from the syringe interior. At least one connection port is in fluid communication with the manifold and the syringe interior when the at least one valve is in the delivery position. A multi-fluid delivery system having the medical connector and MUDS is also provided. Various features of the MUDS system are also described.
Multiple use computerized injector
A computer-controlled injector for use with a medicament cartridge and including a housing having a medicament cartridge receiving volume and a medicament cartridge insertion and removal opening communicating with the medicament cartridge receiving volume; a pivot mount element mounted onto the housing for selectably enabling access to the medicament cartridge receiving volume via the opening; a mechanical latch selectably locking the pivot mount element in a closed operative orientation; and an injection drive mechanism including a computer-controlled motor for driving a piston, forming part of the medicament cartridge, for injecting a medicament, the computer-controlled motor also being operative for operating the mechanical latch.
Self-righting device for a medicament delivery device vertical positioning
A self-righting device is disclosed having a support body for supporting a medicament delivery device, where the support body has a mass, a center of gravity (G) and a shape such that the self-righting device, when positioned on a substantially horizontal surface, moves from an unbalanced position to an upright position. The self-righting device can also have a mechanical adaptor configured for attachment to the support body and for holding an elongated medicament delivery device at an angle less than 30 degrees from a vertical axis when the self-righting device is in the upright position. An assembly of a self-righting device and an elongated medicament delivery device is also provided.
Method and apparatus to reduce the deadspace in syringes and small-bore devices
Methods and apparatus to reduce deadspace in syringes and other devices with the use of volume displacing members that occupy space within one or more interior spaces of such devices. The volume displacing members are also equipped with one or more internal flow passages that facilitate a flow of a fluid through it. The volume displacing members are also adapted to cooperate with features of the devices that house them to form air-tight and liquid-tight seals that at least partially determine a fluid pathway through the devices.
AUTO INJECTOR WITH RECONSTITUTION HANDLING SUPPORT
Disclosed herein is an auto injector for administering a medicament, the auto injector comprising: a housing; a cartridge receiver configured to receive a cartridge comprising a first stopper and a cartridge compartment containing the medicament, the cartridge compartment having a first cartridge subcompartment containing a first medicament component of the medicament and a second cartridge subcompartment containing a second medicament component of the medicament; a drive module coupled to move a plunger rod between a retracted plunger rod position and an extended plunger rod position, the plunger rod being configured to move the first stopper; a processing unit coupled to the drive module, wherein the processing unit is configured to control the drive module to move the plunger rod from a first plunger rod position to a mix plunger rod position with a mix plunger rod speed, wherein the mix plunger rod position is selected to position the first stopper in a position wherein the first medicament component is mixed with the second medicament component, and to provide an onset signal after a number of completed inversions of the auto injector has been performed.
INTRAVENOUS PRIMING CAP
A device for coupling to a fluid connector of an IV administration set to resist contamination of the fluid connector and IV administration set and permit priming of the IV administration set. The device including a cover body having a cavity for receiving the fluid connector, a priming passage for priming fluid from the IV administration set through the fluid connector, and a coupling tab extending from the cover body, the coupling tab permitting the cover body to be coupled to a length of an IV line or other portion of the IV administration set to resist contamination and permit priming of the IV administration set.
