Injection System
The present invention provides apparatus and systems for enabling and monitoring injection of medicinal fluids into a subject. The invention includes a housing for a prefilled syringe, the housing incorporating means for generating and sending signals as parts of the syringe cooperate to deliver the fluids. The signals may be transmitted from a transmitter on the housing as radiowaves to a receiver, which may be conveniently located on a spaced device, such as a mobile phone. The mobile phone or other receiving device incorporates computer software to receive, store the signals from the transmitter as a record of the injection process. The computer software may include information about the medicine, the injection process, and other information relevant to a treatment regime. In some cases, the receiving device may transmit information stored by the computer software for storage and analysis.
Medicament delivery device
A dose setting mechanism for a medicament delivery device is presented having a pinion mounted to a locking member where the axis of rotation of the pinion is offset and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the housing containing the dose setting components. Primary and secondary dose members are engaged with the pinion to indicate a set dose of medicament.
Drug Delivery Device
The present disclosure relates to an audible and/or tactile indicator for use with a drug delivery device including a resilient force member configured to reside in two or more states having two or more different conformations, wherein in a relaxed state, the resilient force member is relaxed in a first conformation, wherein in a biased state, the resilient force member is biased to store energy in a second conformation different to the first conformation, wherein the resilient force member releases stored energy to generate an audible signal when changing from the biased state into the relaxed state due to a transition from the second conformation to the first conformation, wherein the resilient force member is bent by a certain angle about a longitudinal axis forming a longitudinal round fold with two adjacent angled wing-shaped sections.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAFETY SYRINGE
A system for injecting includes a syringe body having proximal and distal ends, a syringe interior, and a syringe flange at the proximal end thereof. The system also includes a stopper member disposed in the syringe interior. The system further includes a plunger member coupled to the stopper member. The plunger member includes a rotatable member configured to insert the stopper member distally in the syringe interior relative to the syringe body with rotation of the rotatable member. The plunger member further includes a proximal portion proximal of the rotatable member configured to be moved distally to also insert the stopper member distally in the syringe interior relative to the syringe body to eject about microliters of fluid from the syringe interior.
SHIELD TRIGGERED INJECTION DEVICE
The invention relates to a shield triggered injection device with a triggering mechanism for injecting doses of a liquid drug. The injection device has a housing structure with a distal end and a proximal end, and a needle shield rotationally mounted relatively to the housing structure such that the needle shield is rotatable between a first position and a second position and which the needle shield when rotated from the first position to the second position is guided helically in a helical track. Further, an axially movable trigger element for releasing a set dose to be automatically ejected upon proximal movement of the trigger element against a bias is provided. The trigger element is provided with an axial locking arm which is biased into the helical track to block the passage through the helical track at least in one rotational direction.
Drug delivery management systems and methods
Various embodiments of a “smart” drug delivery pen are provided which include a drug delivery pen having an inertial sensor or accelerometer. A system is also provided that includes the smart drug pen in conjunction with a data management unit(s) DMU. Various exemplary methods for use of the pens and systems are also described and illustrated.
Medicament delivery device
A medicament delivery device is presented having a housing configured to accommodate a medicament container filled with medicament, a drive unit comprising a plunger rod operable to act on the medicament container, a mechanical activation mechanism configured to interact with the drive unit, where the mechanical activation mechanism is movable between certain predetermined states when interacting with the drive unit, a recording unit capable of recording status changes of the medicament delivery device including the status of the mechanical activation mechanism, and detection elements operably connected to the recording unit and positioned such as to detect when the activation mechanism has been moved between certain predetermined states.
Medication delivery device
A medication delivery device and/or dosing mechanisms suitable for use in medication delivery devices, in particular in pen-type injectors, preferably having a dose setting system and a drive device enabling the administration of a medicinal product from a single- or multi-dose medication cartridge.
ADMINISTRATION INSTRUMENT FOR MEDICAL USE
An administration instrument includes an injection button which can be pressed at an angle that is not parallel to a needle with respect to a direction in which the needle is inserted into skin. As a result, it is possible to prevent a force of pressing the injection button from being transmitted in the direction in which the needle is inserted into the skin deeper than initial insertion of the needle, thereby achieving an administration under a stable state.
INJECTION DEVICE
An injection device has a plunger for displacing a stopper in a syringe or carpule, a holder for the plunger, a drive for the axial displacement of the holder of the plunger, and a control device functionally assigned to the drive. The plunger, or at least a subcomponent thereof, relative to the holder, the holder is able to move over a limited distance relative to the plunger or a subcomponent thereof, opposing a pretensioning force, in that a sensor device is included which detects the relative position of the plunger, or at least a subcomponent thereof, relative to the holder, which comprises at least one sensor element which works together with the control device. The control device is designed such that, upon activation of the sensor element, the speed of advancement of the holder of the plunger is at least reduced.
