DEVICE FOR ADMINISTERING A FLUID
A device for administering a fluid can include a cylinder, a piston connected to a piston rod, and a tensioning device connected to the piston rod. The tensioning device includes a ramp which is rotatable via a motor, a ramp track, and a roller. A dose setting means can be provided which comprises a spacer and a movement unit. The spacer moves from a neutral position into an active position such that the driver is stopped by the spacer so the piston stroke during the movement of the piston to the open dispensing end is shorter in comparison to the case in which the spacer is in its neutral position. The spacer has a through bore in which a spindle with a spindle thread is guided. A pin protrudes into the spindle thread. The spindle thread leads at at least one of its two ends into an annular groove.
A DRIVE MECHANISM FOR AN APPLICATOR FOR DELIVERING A DOSE OF MEDICAMENT AND A CORRESPONDING APPLICATOR
A drive mechanism for an applicator for delivering a dose of a medicament, comprising: a dose setting assembly (N), a knob (1), a rotatable and axially non-translatable clutch element (2) coupled in rotation with the knob (1) and cooperating with the dose setting assembly (N), a rotatable piston rod (3) having an external thread (3.2), the piston rod (3) being located inside the clutch element (2), a drive element (4) and a drive spring (5), wherein when a dose is being set (1) by means of the knob (1), the clutch element (2) is rotated so that the drive spring (5) is loaded, while the drive element (4) and the piston rod (3) are immobilized, and when the dose is being delivered, the drive spring (5) is being released causing the drive element (4) to rotate together with the piston rod (3), the piston rod (3) being moved axially in a distal direction, wherein the piston rod (3) is hollow and has an internal thread (3.3) and a shaft (21) having an external thread (21.2) is located within the piston rod (3), the shaft (21) being engaged in rotation with the clutch element (2) so that during the setting of each subsequent dose the shaft (21) is rotated in relation to the piston rod (3) and moved axially in a proximal direction, while during the delivery of the dose the shaft (21) is immobilized in relation to the piston rod (3), and wherein the total translation of the shaft (21) in relation to the piston rod (3) caused by the setting of a defined number of doses is limited by means of blocking elements (B) located respectively on the piston rod and the shaft. An applicator for delivering a dose of a medicament, the applicator comprising the disclosed drive mechanism.
Drug delivery device inner housing having helical spline
A dose setting mechanism for a drug delivery device is disclosed. The mechanism comprises an outer housing and an inner housing having an external groove and a helical spline. The inner housing helical spline guides a driver to dispense a set dose. A dial sleeve is disposed between the outer and inner housing and is rotatably engaged with the inner housing. When a dose is set, the dial sleeve is rotated and translates away from both the outer housing and the inner housing.
Auto-Injector
An auto-injector for administering a dose of a liquid medicament (M) is presented having an elongate case, a carrier subassembly comprising a tubular carrier slidably arranged inside the case, where the carrier adapted to contain a syringe with a hollow injection needle. The injector also has, a drive spring and a plunger for forwarding load of the drive spring to a stopper of the syringe, wherein the syringe is lockable for joint axial translation with the carrier. A control spring is arranged around the carrier for translating the carrier in a proximal direction (P) for advancing the needle beyond a proximal end of the auto-injector, and a trigger button is used for releasing the control spring on actuation.
Method for using an assembly for dispensing a fluid product
A method of using a fluid dispenser unit having a reservoir and a piston that slides in the reservoir. The unit includes an extractor head secured to the reservoir to suck fluid to be dispensed into the reservoir, and a spray head assembled on the extractor head to spray the fluid out from the reservoir. The method includes the steps of sucking a fluid to be dispensed into the reservoir through the extractor head; assembling the spray head on the extractor head; and spraying the fluid through the spray head. The step of sucking up a fluid to be dispensed includes a first step of extracting a fluid, such as a solvent, from an extraction reservoir, and a second step of mixing the fluid with a first substance, such as a powder or a lyophilisate, so as to form the fluid to be dispensed.
Medicine administering system including injection pen and companion device
Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for administering a medicament to a patient. In one aspect, a system includes an injection pen device in wireless communication with a mobile communication device. The injection pen device includes a housing including a chamber to encase a cartridge containing medicine, a dose setting and dispensing mechanism to set the mechanism to dispense a particular dose of the medicine from the loaded cartridge, a sensor unit to detect a dispensed dose based on positions and/or movements of the dose setting and dispensing mechanism, and an electronics unit in communication with the sensor unit to process the detected dispensed dose and time data associated with a dispensing event and to wirelessly transmit the dose data to a user's device. The mobile communication device provides a software application to provide the user with health information using the processed dose data.
SYRINGE INJECTOR WITH A FEEDBACK MECHANISM
An injection device includes one or more of a barrel having an open proximal end, an open distal end, and a sidewall therebetween; a plunger; and a conduit or connector. The barrel may be configured to house a volume of therapeutic agent. The plunger may have a proximal end, a distal end, and an elongate body. The conduit or connector may be operably attached to the open distal end of the barrel. The distal end of the barrel can include a variable inner diameter segment configured such that movement of the plunger to the variable inner diameter segment of the distal end of the barrel creates an audible and/or tactile feedback sensation to a user.

The invention relates to an autoinjector 59 for administering a fluid medicament to a subject comprising: a housing 1 for receiving a cartridge holder; a driver assembly 8; the driver assembly on actuation may move the cartridge 3 forward in the cartridge holder 2; a needle cover 4 may be coupled to the housing wherein the needle cover 4 travels in a linear or translational movement; said needle cover 4 is adapted to protect a needle when the needle cover may be in first locking position 17 and second locking position 18; the linear or translational movement may be achieved by a cam profile 13 and a cam follower 14; the cam profile 13 may be provided on outside surface of housing and the cam follower 14 located between the needle cover 4 and the housing 1; a first biasing member 15; and a second biasing member 16 configured to bias the cartridge 3 and the needle cover 4 respectively; and a safety cap 11 to control the actuation of the autoinjector. The needle cover 4 further comprises a sleeve 91 or sleeve 92 which prevents or inhibits the obstruction of the movement of needle cover 4 when the user accidentally hold the needle cover 4 during actuation of the autoinjector.
REUSABLE AUTO-INJECTOR DEVICE WITH REFILLABLE MEDICATION AND REPLACEABLE NEEDLE
An injection system and apparatus comprises a housing with a loading tray configured to accept a medication cartridge, a needle configured to transport medication from the medication cartridge to an injection site, a retractable sheath formed on an injection end of the housing, and a telescoping plunger comprising at least two telescoping sections, wherein the plunger is configured to impart downward force on the medication cartridge in order to release medication in the medication cartridge through the needle to an injection site.
