MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE WITH SENSING SYSTEM
Medication delivery devices are provided having a housing comprising a reservoir sized sufficiently to hold medication, a dose button being rotatable relative to the housing to select a dose size of the medication for an injection, a printed circuit board, a switch mounted to the printed circuit board, and a controller in communication with the switch. The controller is configured to generate a first count of a set of signals using a first counting technique, generate a second count of the set of signals using a second counting technique, and determine, based on the first and second count, reliability data of the first and/or second count. The controller can connect, using a wireless communication module, to a remote computing device to wirelessly communicate with the remote computing device over an unencrypted wireless communication channel, and transmit, using the wireless communication module, encrypted data to the remote computing device.
MULTI-CHAMBER SYRINGE
Syringes are described herein. A syringe includes a syringe body, a first plunger, a second plunger, and an inner tube. The syringe body defines a syringe cavity and a syringe port, wherein the syringe port is in fluid communication with the syringe cavity. The first plunger is disposed within the syringe cavity and defining a first chamber in the syringe cavity, wherein the first chamber is in fluid communication with the syringe port. The second plunger is disposed within the syringe cavity, the first plunger and the second plunger cooperatively defining a second chamber in the syringe cavity. The inner tube comprises an inner tube lumen, wherein the inner tube and the first plunger shaft lumen define an annulus therebetween, the annulus in fluid communication with the first plunger channel and the annulus permits fluid communication between the syringe port and the first plunger channel.
MULTI-CHAMBER SYRINGE
Systems and methods for multi-chambered syringes are described. In some embodiments, a multi-chamber syringe includes a housing with an internal cavity and first and second plungers disposed at least partially within the internal cavity. The first and second plungers are slidably displaceable relative to the housing, and are associated with first and second chambers respectively. A barrier is disposed at least partially between the first and second plungers to form the first and second chambers. The barrier is slidably displaceable relative to the plungers and barrel to selectively place the first and second chambers including first and second materials respectively in fluid communication. When the barrier is displaced, the first and second materials mix in a combined volume of the first and second chambers. Displacing the first plunger, the second plunger, and the barrier may dispense the mixed materials from the combined volume.
LOCKOUT MECHANISM FOR DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A drug delivery device includes a housing, a container at least partially disposed within the housing and configured to contain a medicament, an injection mechanism at least partially disposed within the housing and configured to exert a force to urge the medicament from the container, a drug delivery component at least partially disposed within the housing, and at least one pin positioned adjacent to the housing and preventing activation of the activation mechanism until the at least one pin reaches a desired temperature.
LIQUID DELIVERY DEVICE AND METHOD
A crawling mechanism for a drug delivery device has a central longitudinal axis and is arranged to crawl in an axial direction. The crawling mechanism includes a housing and one or more swing members pivotally coupled to the housing that are arranged to swing relative to the housing between an initial position and a terminal position suitable for urging crawling of the mechanism.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE SAFETY SYSTEM
A drug delivery device is disclosed, wherein the device comprises a housing; a product container arranged in the housing; a plunger rod partially disposed inside the product container; and a thumb pad configured to receive a portion of the plunger rod, wherein the thumb pad and the plunger rod are configured to transition from a first state to a second state, wherein at the first state, the plunger rod is prevented from moving in a proximal direction, and at the second state, the plunger rod moves freely in a proximal direction.
Auto injector with adaptable air-shot mechanism
Disclosed is an auto injector for administering a medicament. The auto injector comprising: a housing; a cartridge receiver configured to receive a cartridge assembly comprising a cartridge (700) and a cartridge code (1000) feature, the cartridge containing the medicament; a code sensor configured to read the cartridge code feature; a drive module coupled to move a plunger rod; and a processing unit coupled to the code sensor and the drive module. The processing unit being configured to: receive from the code sensor a code signal indicative of the cartridge code feature; control the drive module to move the plunger rod to a first plunger rod position, the first plunger rod position being based on the code signal; receive a trigger event; control the drive module to move the plunger rod to a second plunger rod position following reception of the trigger event.
Injection pen
An injection pen, comprising a housing, a lead screw axially moveable in the housing, a dose set member for dose setting and dose correcting, threadably connected to the housing and having a first mating feature, a setback member having a second mating feature for engaging the first mating feature, a clicker that generates an audible or tactile indication during operation, the clicker being operatively connected to the dose set member, and a push button operatively connected to the setback member to cause the second mating feature to engage the first mating feature during an injection, the push button receiving the clicker, wherein the first mating feature is disengaged from the second mating feature during the dose setting and the dose correcting and engaged with the second mating feature during the injection.
Ratchet systems for drug delivery devices
A system comprises a first member, a second member, and a third member, wherein the first and second members are rotatable relative to the third member, wherein the first and second members are coupled to one another by a dead-angle follower coupling, wherein the dead-angle follower coupling is configured such that the first and second members are rotatable relative to one another, wherein the second and third members are rotationally coupled to one another by a switchable coupling mechanism, wherein the switchable coupling mechanism is switchable between two different states, a locked state and a non-locked state, wherein the maximum torque transferable between the second and third members via the switchable coupling mechanism in the locked state is greater than in the non-locked state, wherein the switchable coupling mechanism is in the locked state when the first member is in a locking position relative to the second member.
Sensor system
