Electrical power cord with inline ground fault circuit interrupter
Example embodiments relate to power cords for electrically connecting one or more devices to an electrical source. A power cord may include a first end configured to couple to an electrical source and a second end configured to electrically couple to a device. A ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) may be coupled to the power cord between the first end and the second end such that the GFCI is configured to control a flow of electricity through the power cord to the device when the second end of the power cord is electrically coupled to the device. The GFCI may include a set of light emitting diodes (LEDs) with a first LED configured to illuminate when the GFCI is preventing the flow of electricity, and wherein a second LED is configured to illuminate when an output side of the GFCI is outputting electricity.
SWITCHGEAR SYSTEM HAVING CHAIN DRIVEN CIRCUIT BREAKER AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A switchgear system may include a switchgear frame, a truck and circuit breaker mounted thereon. A drive mechanism is mounted on the switchgear frame and configured to rack the circuit breaker into a) a first connected position where the primary and secondary circuits are electrically connected, b) a second test position where the primary circuit is electrically disconnected and secondary circuit connected, and c) a third disconnected position where the primary and secondary circuits are electrically disconnected, wherein said drive mechanism comprises a drive chain and shuttle configured to engage the truck and rack and fix the circuit breaker into the first connected position.
Circuit breakers incorporating reset lockout mechanisms
Multi-pole and single-pole circuit breakers include a housing and a reset lockout mechanism disposed within the housing. The reset lockout mechanism disables electrical communication between line and load terminals of the circuit breaker if a predefined condition exists. Some circuit breakers include a single actuator, transition between ON and OFF states, and are capable of performing test functions. The test functions may involve testing AFCI and/or GFCI functions of the circuit breakers. The test functions may be performed when the circuit breaker transitions from an OFF state to an ON state. Some circuit breakers including a reset lockout mechanism may be powered only on its line side. Some circuit breakers provide an electrical indication when they are in the OFF state.

Electrical wiring device
A circuit interrupting device includes an input conductor for electrically connecting to an external power supply, a load conductor for electrically connecting to a downstream load, a face conductor for electrically connecting to an external load, and a brush conductor in electrical communication with the input conductor and movable between a closed position and an open position. The brush conductor includes a second portion offset from a first portion such that a first terminal and a second terminal are positioned on separate planes. When the brush conductor is in the closed position, the first terminal contacts the load terminal and the second terminal contacts the face terminal to provide electrical communication between the input conductor, the load conductor, and the face conductor. When the brush conductor is in the open position, the first terminal is spaced apart from the load terminal and the second terminal is spaced apart from the face terminal.

IMPROVED STRUCTURE OF GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER
A structure of a ground fault circuit interrupter includes a locking arm, which is provided with a stop surface, disposed inside the ground fault circuit interrupter, and a support body fixedly connected to a soft magnet is provided with a stop portion which can interfere with the stop surface that is moving downward. The locking arm is also connected to an elastic element, and under a normal state, the elastic element moves downward the stop surface of the locking arm to interfere with the stop portion of the support body, so that the soft magnet is prevented from moving toward a permanent magnet The locking arm can also be pushed down and driven by a reset button to move upward the stop surface, so that the stop portion and the stop surface no longer interfere with each other.
