REUSABLE AUTO-INJECTOR DEVICE WITH REFILLABLE MEDICATION AND REPLACEABLE NEEDLE

An injection system and apparatus comprises a housing with a loading tray configured to accept a medication cartridge, a needle configured to transport medication from the medication cartridge to an injection site, a retractable sheath formed on an injection end of the housing, and a telescoping plunger comprising at least two telescoping sections, wherein the plunger is configured to impart downward force on the medication cartridge in order to release medication in the medication cartridge through the needle to an injection site.

METHOD AND APPARATUS TO REDUCE THE DEADSPACE IN SYRINGES AND SMALL-BORE DEVICES
20230226283 · 2023-07-20 ·

Methods and apparatus to reduce deadspace in syringes and other devices with the use of volume displacing members that occupy space within one or more interior spaces of such devices. The volume displacing members are also equipped with one or more internal flow passages that facilitate a flow of a fluid through it. The volume displacing members are also adapted to cooperate with features of the devices that house them to form air-tight and liquid-tight seals that at least partially determine a fluid pathway through the devices.

Needle protective device for subcutaneous sensors

An introducer is provided for introducing a sensor into the body of a patient. The introducer connects to a sensor hub. When the sensor hub and introducer are connected, the introducer needle is exposed. When the sensor hub and introducer are disconnected, a needle cover and the needle move with respect to each other so that the needle cover substantially covers the needle, protecting a user from being injured by the needle.

Needle arrangement

A medical needle arrangement (100, 1000, 1400) is disclosed. The needle arrangement (100, 1000, 1400) comprises: a needle sheath (104, 002, 1402), and a needle (202, 1102, 1406) comprising: an elongated portion and a sealing member (204, 1003, 1403) being arranged to a front end of the elongated portion. The needle arrangement is adapted to bet set in: a closed position, in which the sealing member (204, 1003, 1403) is arranged to abut at least a portion of a front end surface of the needle sheath (104, 1002, 1402) thereby restricting intrusion of foreign matter in an area between the needle sheath and the needle, and an open position, in which a gap (1204, 1506) is formed between the sealing member (204, 1003, 1403) and the front end surface of the needle sheath (104, 1002, 1402). Embodiments include needle arrangement for injection, for aspiration, and for biopsy purposes.

Cap for medical injector

A medical injector including a cap remover or second cap is disclosed. The medical injector includes an injector housing defining a reservoir, a plunger rod, and a stopper engaged with a portion of the plunger rod and slidably disposed within the reservoir. The stopper being sized relative to an interior of the injector housing to provide sealing engagement with a sidewall of the injector housing. The medical injector further includes a needle having a sharpened first end and a second end in communication with the reservoir, a first cap covering the sharpened first end of the needle, and a second cap covering at least a part of the first cap. The second cap is engaged with the first cap such that removal of the second cap simultaneously removes the first cap from the first end of the needle.

Injection system comprising a syringe and a protective assembly

A protective assembly includes a body for receiving the syringe; and a coupling device inside the body, rigidly connected to the barrel as regards to axial movement relative to the body. The coupling device includes an attaching element which can be either in an engaged state to axially fix the coupling device and the plunger rod, or in a release state in which the coupling device and the plunger rod are axially free relative to one another. The coupling device is axially movable in the body from a storage position to an injection position in which the needle extends beyond the body, and in which the attaching element can move towards the release state. The coupling device is axially movable in the body from the injection position towards a safety position, in which the needle is covered by the body.

Accessory including a slot for a flange of an injection device

An accessory for an injection device having a safety shield and at least one flange adapted to allow a user to grip the injection device and a syringe sheath moveable relative to the at least one flange from a pre-injection position to a locked-out position. The accessory comprises a body portion comprising a recess adapted to receive the safety shield of the injection device and a slot adapted to receive the at least one flange of the injection device.
