FUSE CUTOUT COVER WITH EXTENDABLE ROOF
In one embodiment, a fuse cutout cover has an integral roof portion. The roof portion covers the energized top of a fuse in a first type of cutout. An attachable roof extension covers the energized top of a fuse in a larger second type of cutout. By having the optional roof extension feature, the same cover may be used with two types of cutouts. The roof extension is connected using a cruxiform connector on the bottom surface of the roof portion that tightly fits into a hole in the roof extension. To prevent an air gap between the cruxiform connector and the hole in the roof extension, the bottom of the hole is sealed. This prevents flashovers through the air gap. As a result, electrical insulation between wildlife and the energized cutout is increased.
Fuse cutout cover with spacer for loadbreak tool
A fuse cutout cover is disclosed that allows a lineman to engage a metal hook assembly and pull ring of the cutout with a loadbreak tool. The cutout also includes a wire connector and a metal top connector that leads from the wire connector to the top of the fuse. A front opening in the cover allows easy access by a loadbreak tool over a wide range of angles. A roof of the cover extends beyond the sidewalls of the opening and covers an end of the top connector. An inner vertical wall of the cover has a bottom edge that rests on the top surface of the top connector to space the roof from the top connector to provide additional vertical clearance when positioning the loadbreak tool to engage the cutout. The wall also blocks access to the enlarged open to prevent birds from nesting in the opening.

COVER
A cover includes a top wall, a first side wall, a second side wall facing the first side wall, and a lock releasing portion. The first side wall includes a locking portion engageable with a locked portion of a covered body. The second side wall includes an opposed locking portion engageable with an opposed locked portion of the covered body. The lock releasing portion includes: a release operation portion inclined and projecting from the top wall in a cover mounting direction; and a connecting portion connecting the release operation portion with the first side wall around the locking portion or the release operation portion with the locking portion.
High current fuse block
A power distribution box assembly can include a power distribution box housing, a fuse block, and a plurality of eyelet terminals. The fuse block can include a stamped busbar assembly, a plurality of studs, and a housing. The stamped busbar assembly can include a main power supply portion, a plurality of fuse elements, and a plurality of terminal connecting portions coupled to the plurality of fuse elements. Each of the plurality of terminal connecting portions can: (i) extend from its respective fuse element in a terminal direction that is orthogonal to both directions that the main power supply portion and the fuse elements extend.
Fuse Holder, Carrier and Associated Method
A fuse holder for holding a fuse is provided that includes a body, a line side connector supported by the body, and a load side connector supported by the body. The fuse holder also includes a toggle switch supported by the body and capable of toggled engagement in a first position that provides electrical connection. The switch is also capable of toggled engagement in a second position that provides electrical isolation between the line side connector and the load side connector. The fuse holder also includes a fuse carrier. The fuse carrier is supported by the body and adapted for holding the fuse and the fuse carrier is adapted to be removed from the fuse holder. The fuse holder includes a blocking device blocking the toggled engagement of the switch from the second position to the first position when the fuse carrier is not within the fuse holder.

FUSE SWITCH MODULE
The invention refers to a fuse switch module (1) that comprises a casing (2) having an aperture (3) and a cover (4) for closing and opening the aperture (3), and a rotatable fuse cartridge (11) for receiving a fuse (8). The fuse cartridge (11) is rotatable between a switch module closed position in which a fuse (8) is connected with fixed contacts (5,6) to enable current circulation, and a switch module open position in which current circulation through the fixed contacts (5,6) is impeded. The cover (4) and the fuse cartridge (11) are engaged when the cover (4) is closing the aperture (3) and when the fuse cartridge (11) is in the switch closed position, thus, the cover (4) is locked by the fuse cartridge (11) and opening of the cover (4) is impeded while current is circulating through the switch module.
Switching device for selectively switching an electrical load, in particular for shutting down a dangerous machine installation
A switching device shuts down a machine installation in failsafe fashion. The switching device includes an input for a defined input signal, a first output providing a first current path to the machine installation, a display element capable of assuming first and second states, and a processor having first and second modes of operation. The first current path includes a switching element capable of assuming closed and open operating states. In the first mode, the processor controls the switching element in response to the defined input signal in order to selectively close or interrupt the first current path. In the second mode, the processor controls the switching element into the open operating state regardless of the defined input signal. In the first mode, the display element assumes the first and second display states in response to the switching element being in the closed and open operating states, respectively.
Electrical connection protection
An electrical assembly including a first conductor, at least a second conductor parallel and electrically isolated from the first conductor, a component connecting to the first conductor and the second conductor, a cover including fastener slots each configured for receiving a fastener therein configured for securing the cover partially within the component, and including at least two isolation slots each configured for receiving and electrically and mechanically isolating the first conductor and the second conductor from each other and from each fastener, and a base configured to secure and align the cover and the component.
