High voltage compact fuse assembly with magnetic arc deflection
Fuse assemblies in the form of fuse blocks and fuse holders include embedded permanent magnet arc suppression features that facilitate higher voltage operation of fusible circuit protection without increasing the size of the fuse assemblies. The embedded magnets apply an external magnetic field upon an overcurrent protection fuse and produce an arc deflection force to enhance arc quenching capability of the fuse without increasing its form factor.

Fuse assemblies
A fuse assembly includes a bus bar fuse and a clip. The bus bar fuse has a leg with a slotted opening. The clip surrounds a portion of the leg. The clip includes a first side having a threaded through-hole and a second side extending from the first side at an angle with respect to the first side. A third side extends from the second side at an angle with respect to the second side. The third side includes a through-hole. The threaded through-hole of the clip provides for captivation of the fastener within the clip when mounting the fuse assembly to the fuse mounting block assembly.
Fuse assemblies
A fuse assembly includes a bus bar fuse and a clip. The bus bar fuse has a leg with a slotted opening. The clip surrounds a portion of the leg. The clip includes a first side having a threaded through-hole and a second side extending from the first side at an angle with respect to the first side. A third side extends from the second side at an angle with respect to the second side. The third side includes a through-hole. The threaded through-hole of the clip provides for captivation of the fastener within the clip when mounting the fuse assembly to the fuse mounting block assembly.
Overcurrent protection element and battery system
An overcurrent protection element includes: chip fuse; a printed circuit board configured by mounting chip fuse on a surface thereof; external connection part configured by being coupled to the printed circuit board; and insulating layer configured by being provided on the printed circuit board. The printed circuit board is provided with conductive parts on a surface of an insulating substrate. External connection part is electrically connected to the conductive parts of the printed circuit board. Chip fuse is electrically connected to the conductive parts, and chip fuse is connected to external connection part via the conductive parts.
