Atomizer and electronic cigarette having same
An atomizer for an electronic cigarette and an electronic cigarette are presented. The atomizer comprises a substrate, a heating device and a cover member. The substrate is provided with a mounting space. One end of the heating device is inserted into the mounting space and partially extends to the outside through the substrate to form a controlling member, and the other end is exposed to the outer surface of the substrate. When the controlling member is pressed into the substrate by an external pressing force, the heating device is pushed to move toward the outside of the substrate along the mounting space and partially extends out of the substrate. The cover member is detachably mounted to the substrate and covers the controlling member. The technical solution of the present invention is convenient for the user to disassemble and replace the heating device inside the atomizer, effectively saving the use cost.

Aerosol-generating system having a cartridge and a bypass air inlet
An aerosol-generating system (includes a cartridge, a liquid aerosol-forming substrate, and an aerosol-generating device. The cartridge includes a cartridge housing and a solid aerosol-forming substrate. The aerosol-generating device includes a cavity configured to receive at least a portion of the cartridge, an airflow inlet, and an airflow sensor. The airflow sensor is in fluid communication with the airflow inlet and the cavity). The aerosol-generating device includes a bypass air inlet in fluid communication with the cavity, an electric heater configured to heat the liquid aerosol-forming substrate, a power supply, and a controller. The aerosol-generating system is configured so that the cartridge housing substantially prevents airflow through the bypass air inlet when the cartridge is received within the cavity.
Aerosol generating device and article
An aerosol generating device defines a flow path from an air inlet to an inhalable medium outlet. The device includes a container for containing a liquid; a wick for drawing liquid from the container into the flow path, and a heating element, upstream of the wick, for heating inlet air from the air inlet to generate a flow of heated air in the flow path in use. The device is arranged such that, in use, the flow of heated air generated in use passes over the wick to volatilize the liquid to generate, in use, a flow of aerosol in the flow path. The device includes a receiving portion in the flow path, downstream of the wick, for receiving an element for modifying a property of the flow of aerosol. A device including a shield element to shield the wick from a heating element is also disclosed.
Heart rate monitor for an aerosol delivery device
An aerosol delivery device is provided that includes at least one housing structured to retain an aerosol precursor composition. The device includes an atomizer, and a microprocessor configured to operate in an active mode in which the control body is configured to control the atomizer to activate and produce an aerosol from the aerosol precursor composition. And the device includes a heart rate monitor including a plurality of biopotential electrodes affixed to the housing and configured to obtain biopotential measurements from a user, and including signal conditioning circuitry configured to produce an electrocardiogram signal from the biopotential measurements. The microprocessor is coupled to the signal conditioning circuitry and further configured to control operation of at least one functional element of the aerosol delivery device based on the electrocardiogram signal or a heart rate of the user calculated therefrom.
