20190045847 · 2019-02-14 · ·

A vaporizing assembly for an aerosol-generating system may comprise a delivery device and a heater assembly. The heater assembly may comprise a heat resistive substrate and a heating element. The delivery device is configured to deliver an aerosol-forming substrate to at least a surface of the heat resistive substrate, wherein the heating element is isolated or separated from the aerosol-forming substrate by the heat resistive substrate. The present disclosure is also directed to a method for generating an aerosol.

Cartridge for use with a vaporizer device

Apparatuses including vaporizer device bodies and cartridges are provided. In some implementations, an apparatus includes a cartridge and a body. The cartridge comprises a storage compartment configured to hold a vaporizable material, a heater chamber including a heating element configured to heat the vaporizable material to generate an aerosol, and an outlet for the aerosol. The body comprises a receptacle configured to insertably receive and couple to the cartridge, and first and second electrical contacts configured to complete an electrical circuit with the heating element. The cartridge and the body are configured to define an airflow path comprising an air inlet passage having a first side formed by an exterior surface of the cartridge and a second side formed by an internal surface of the receptacle. The air inlet passage is configured to deliver air towards the heater chamber, which is in fluid communication with the outlet.

MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE AND METHOD
20190030266 · 2019-01-31 ·

A medicament delivery device is provided having an oral tubular section for placement in the mouth of a user and a nasal tubular section for placement in the naris of a user. A medicament located in a corrugated, or flexible, section joining the oral tubular section and the nasal tubular section is dispersed into the nasal cavity of the user by blowing into the oral tubular section. A pinch valve or a one way valve is used to prevent the user from accidentally inhaling the medicament. The medicament delivery device may also be used as a pulmonary delivery device into the mouth of a user.

Electronic cigarette

An electronic cigarette includes a battery assembly, an atomizer assembly and a cigarette bottle assembly. An external thread electrode is located in one end of battery assembly. An internal thread electrode is located in one end of atomizer assembly. The battery assembly and the atomizer assembly are connected by the screwthread electrode. The cigarette bottle assembly is inserted into the other end of the atomizer assembly and both form a cigarette type or cigar type body.

DRUG DOSE CARTRIDGE FOR AN INHALER DEVICE

Devices and methods are described for preparing, managing, and/or administering metered doses of substances for vaporized administration. In some embodiments, dose cartridges comprising at least one botanical substance include a heating element integrated into the cartridge in close contact with the botanical substance. In some embodiments, cartridge-mounted doses are stored in a magazine, optionally in carousel form, before use. Transport of a cartridge from a magazine to an electrically operated vaporizing chamber which activates the heating element is provided by a mechanical pickup means.

VAPORIZATION DEVICE SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Provided herein are systems and methods to generate an inhalable vapor in an electronic vaporization device. The vaporization device may generate a vapor with one or more defined characteristics. In some cases, the vapor may have a predetermined aerosol number density and/or a predetermined average aerosol diameter. The vaporization device may generate a vapor from a vaporizable material. In some cases, the vaporizable material may be a liquid material housed in a cartridge. The vaporization device may comprise a rechargeable power storage device.

Flow regulating inhaler device

Some embodiments of the invention relate to an inhaler device for pulmonary delivery of at least one substance from a drug dose cartridge to an inhaling user, comprising: a first conduit for conducting a carrier airflow to a proximal opening of a mouthpiece for use by the user; a holder configured to position the dose cartridge within the carrier airflow; and a second conduit for conducting a shunting airflow to the mouthpiece without passing through the dose cartridge position. In some embodiments, a controller connected to a valve controls a rate of carrier airflow, for example by controlling the shunting airflow, based on a sensor indication of airflow rate and a target airflow profile.

Cartridge for use with a vaporizer device

Vaporizer devices and apparatuses are provided. In some implementations, a cartridge for a vaporizer device comprises an elongate and flattened storage compartment configured to hold a liquid vaporizable material, an opaque mouthpiece that is secured over the proximal end of the storage compartment, an opening through the mouthpiece, a notch in the front side of the mouthpiece, a heater at the distal end of the storage compartment, and a channel within the storage compartment that extends from the heater towards the proximal end of the storage compartment. The liquid vaporizable material is visible through the storage compartment. A first end of the mouthpiece terminates in an edge disposed adjacent to a location between the distal end and the proximal end, the mouthpiece has a front side adjacent a side of the storage compartment, and the notch extends away from the edge toward an end of the mouthpiece.

SYSTEMS FOR TREATING PULMONARY INFECTIONS

Provided herein are systems for treating a subject with a pulmonary infection, for example, a nontuberculous mycobacterial pulmonary infection, a Burkholderia pulmonary infection, a pulmonary infection associated with bronchiectasis, or a Pseudomonas pulmonary infection. The system includes a pharmaceutical formulation comprising a liposomal aminoglycoside dispersion, and the lipid component of the liposomes consist essentially of electrically neutral lipids. The system also includes a nebulizer which generates an aerosol of the pharmaceutical formulation at a rate greater than about 0.53 gram per minute. The aerosol is delivered to the subject via inhalation for the treatment of the pulmonary infection.
