A luminous keyboard includes a key structure, a supporting plate, a switch circuit board, a light guide plate, a top-view light-emitting element and a reflecting element. The supporting plate includes a supporting plate opening. The supporting plate is located under the key structure. The switch circuit board is located over the supporting plate. The light guide plate is located under the supporting plate, and includes a light guide plate opening. The top-view light-emitting element is inserted into the light guide plate opening. The reflecting element is arranged between the top-view light-emitting element and the key structure. After the light beam is transmitted through the supporting plate opening, the light beam is transmitted through the switch circuit board and reflected to the light guide plate by the reflecting element. Then, the light beam is guided to a periphery region of the key structure by the light guide plate.

A backlight keyboard includes a first keyswitch, a first backlight source, a light guide plate and a first board having first and second holes. The light guide plate is applied to the backlight keyboard and a second backlight keyboard including a second keyswitch, a second backlight source and a second board having third and fourth holes. The second keyswitch on the second backlight keyboard is shifted transversely relative to the first keyswitch on the backlight keyboard to make the first and fourth holes have a first overlapping area. The light guide plate has a first dot structure corresponding to the first and third holes and a second dot structure corresponding to the second and fourth holes except the first overlapping area for guiding light to symbols on the first and second keyswitches. The first dot structure is less than the second dot structure in dot intensity.

Backlight module and keyboard thereof

A backlight module is applied to providing light to a plurality of keyswitches of a keyboard. Each keyswitch has a keycap and an elastic member abutting against the keycap. The backlight module includes a membrane circuit board and a light guide plate. The membrane circuit board has a light emitting diode corresponding to the keyswitch. The light emitting diode is located at a side of the elastic member and emits light to the keycap. The light guide plate is disposed on the membrane circuit board. The light guide plate has a slot hole for containing the light emitting diode and has a hole corresponding to the elastic member. An optical microstructure is formed on the light guide plate for guiding light of the light emitting diode to be incident to the keycap. The elastic member passes through the hole to be disposed on the membrane circuit board.

A button includes a substrate, a frame body, an optical pressure board assembly and an optical trigger switch. The substrate includes a physical key and a light emitting assembly. The frame body mounted on the substrate accommodates the physical key and the light emitting assembly. A side of the frame body away from the substrate includes an opening. The optical pressure board assembly is slidably arranged in the frame body and covers the physical key and the light emitting assembly. The optical pressure board assembly is adapted to moving in an operating direction towards the substrate to contact the physical key, so the physical key generates a first manipulation signal. The optical pressure board assembly is further adapted to converting a light beam into a three-dimensional optical image. The optical trigger switch is mounted on an outer side of the frame body and adapted to generating a second manipulation signal.

FILTERS FOR SELECTING ALPHABET OF CHARACTERS PRESENTED BY KEYBOARD

A computing system may include a keyboard and at least one backlight. The keyboard may include at least one key. The at least one key may include a first filter shaped according to a first character in a first alphabet. The first filter may transmit light within a first spectral range. The at least one key may also include a second filter shaped according to a second character in a second alphabet. The second filter may transmit light within a second spectral range. The at least one backlight may be configured to shine light of a first wavelength within the first spectral range in response to an instruction to display the first alphabet, and shine light of a second wavelength within the second spectral range in response to an instruction to display the second alphabet.

A luminous keyboard includes plural key structures and a light guide plate. Moreover, plural elongated condenser structures are formed on a top surface of the light guide plate. Each of the plural elongated condenser structures has a long axial direction. The plural elongated condenser structures are distributed in parallel and along a direction perpendicular to the long axial direction. After plural light beams pass through the elongated condenser structures in the upward direction, the beam angles of the light beams from the light guide plate are converged by the elongated condenser structures. Consequently, the brightness of the backlight is increased. Moreover, the light beams do not leak from the vacant spaces between adjacent key structures.
