The light-emitting unit is disposed on the circuit board. The light-reflecting plate is disposed above the circuit board. The light guide plate is disposed above the light-reflecting plate and includes a single-key light guide area. The single-key light guide area includes an accommodating hole and a light-blocking structure. The accommodating hole runs through the single-key light guide area and accommodates the light-emitting unit. The light-blocking structure and the light-emitting unit are arranged in a direction. The light-shielding sheet is disposed above the light guide plate.

Push-button switch assembly with means for indicating a switch status

A push-button switch assembly with means for indicating a switch status includes: an actuation head for actuating the push-button switch assembly, the actuation head having a disc-shaped upper part and a tubular lower part; a sleeve-type push-button guide which is coupled to the actuation head such that, in relation to a longitudinal axis of the push-button switch assembly, the upper part is arranged above the push-button guide and the lower part surrounds the push-button guide; and a light guide for guiding light, the light guide being coupled to the actuation head such that, in relation to the longitudinal axis, at least portions of the light guide are arranged within the actuation head and within the push-button guide. The light guide extends through the actuation head with a top end in a predetermined position such that the push-button switch assembly is illuminatable in a predetermined manner by a light beam.

PUSH SWITCH AND ILLUMINATED SWITCH DEVICE

A push switch includes a case, a fixed contact member, a moving contact member, and a protective sheet. The case has a first surface with a recess and a second surface opposite from the first surface. The fixed contact member includes a fixed contact in the recess and a terminal on an outer surface of the case. The moving contact member is in the recess and includes a moving contact to contact with the fixed contact when the switch is subjected to a press operation. The protective sheet covers the recess. The case has a light-transmitting property and has a light incident surface and a light emergent surface. Light is incident on the light incident surface. At least part of the light that has entered through the light incident surface emerges through the light emergent surface.

Button deck assembly for an electronic gaming machine and method for making the same

A button deck assembly includes a button deck having at least one mechanical pushbutton, the pushbutton includes a lens cap, a liquid-crystal display (LCD) panel, and an optical block configured to transmit images from the LCD panel for display through the lens cap, a bottom surface of the optical block is positioned on the LCD panel, an air gap is defined between a top surface of the optical block and the lens cap. The assembly also includes a printed circuit board (PCB) assembly defining a PCB aperture, the PCB aperture is sized to receive the optical block, and an elastomeric membrane defining a membrane aperture sized to receive the optical block, the optical block extends from the LCD panel through the PCB and membrane apertures, the membrane channels fluid flow to outer edges of the membrane and around the PCB assembly and the LCD panel.

A keyboard integrates a backlight that illuminates keyboard keys with light passing from an edge of the keyboard and along each of plural rows of keys through plural lightguides, each of the plural lightguides disposed under one row of keys. A light source located at the edge of the keyboard membrane provides illumination to the plural lightguides with individual control per row of keys for improved light transmission efficiency.

Control device having buttons with metallic surfaces and backlit indicia

A control device includes a plurality of buttons having a backlight or indicia indicating a function of the buttons. Each button has a button body that is translucent and configured to be backlit by a lighting element. A front surface of the button body is opaque outside of the area of the indicia. The button body has a post that extends from a rear surface of the button body and is aligned with an actuator. Selection of a button by a user, such as by pressing the button, results in the selected button displaying a greater illumination intensity than the other buttons.
