An aerosol-generating system is provided, including a fluid-permeable electric heater assembly, the heater assembly including an electrically insulating substrate, an aperture being formed in the electrically insulating substrate, and a heater element having a first face fixed to the electrically insulating substrate, the heater element spanning the aperture and including a plurality of electrically conductive filaments connected to first and second electrically conductive contact portions, the first and second electrically conductive contact portions positioned on opposite sides of the aperture to one another, wherein the first and second electrically conductive contact portions are configured to allow contact with an external power supply.

The present invention relates to an inhaler which is appropriate for delivery of medicament in dry powder form used in respiratory diseases, particularly in asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). In addition, the present invention relates to an inhaler which includes a blister package appropriate for carrying the medicament in dry powder form and used to realize an effective inhalation.

This invention relates to an inhalation device by which a user can inhale powdered pharmaceutical compositions or medications. Powdered medication is held in blister packs containing at least one or two separated pockets for two or more active pharmaceutical ingredients and is inhaled by users through inhalation devices. The invention also relates to an inhalation device for powdered pharmaceutical compositions comprising a medication blister pack containing two separated pockets to hold two active pharmaceutical ingredients, an opening station, and an outlet, the blister pack comprising two pockets for powdered medication contained between two members peelably secured to one another.

A fluid dispenser device having a reservoir (10) containing fluid; a dispenser head (20) provided with a dispenser orifice (21); and a piston (45; 70) for dispensing at least a portion of the fluid through the dispenser orifice (21). The reservoir (10) is closed in leaktight manner by a closure element (25) before actuation. The device includes a passage (40) for connecting the reservoir (10) to the dispenser orifice (21) during actuation, the passage (40) including a hollow sleeve (41) that is stationary relative to the dispenser head (20), for sliding around the closure element (25) during actuation, so as to open the passage (40).

A drug product comprising: a dry powder inhalation device containing one or more pharmaceutical compositions present therein, wherein the one or more pharmaceutical compositions comprise active ingredients (I) 4-{(1R)-2-[(6-{2-[(2,6-dichlorobenzyl)oxy]ethoxy} hexyl)amino]-1-hydroxyethyl}-2-(hydroxymethyl)phenol, or a salt thereof, and (II) (6,11,16,17)-6,9-difluoro-17-{[(fluoromethyl)thio]carbonyl}-11-hydroxy-16-methyl-3-oxoandrosta-1,4-dien-17-yl 2-furancarboxylate or a solvate thereof; a hygroscopic material; and a package which encompasses the dry powder inhalation device and the hygroscopic material defining an enclosed volume therein; wherein each of the active ingredients (I) and (II) are present in the same or different pharmaceutical compositions, and wherein the enclosed volume within the package exhibits a Relative Humidity of from 20% to 40%.
Delivery devices
A delivery device is provided having a container containing a dose of greater than 40 mg of a powder and having at least one exit orifice for dispensing the dose from the container, a chamber adapted to receive the container in an operative configuration, at least one gas inlet by which gas may enter the chamber and at least one gas outlet by which gas and entrained powder may exit the chamber. The delivery device is operable to generate a gas flow through the chamber between the at least one gas inlet and the at least one gas outlet, which brings about orbital motion of the container within the chamber in that at least a central region of the container orbits a central axis of the chamber.

An aerosol-forming article is provided, including an airflow inlet and an airflow outlet; a medicament source and a volatile delivery enhancing compound source disposed between the airflow inlet and the airflow outlet, and a moveable portion moveable between an open position in which the medicament source and the volatile delivery enhancing compound source are in fluid communication with both the airflow inlet and the airflow outlet, and a closed position in which each of the medicament source and the volatile delivery enhancing compound source is in communication with only one or none of the airflow inlet and the airflow outlet.
