Dry powder inhaler dose counters
Dry powder inhaler dose counters capable of making a display move swiftly between digits, in contrast to the progressive movement that occurs in simple gearing mechanisms.
MEDICATION DISPENSER
A medication dispenser includes a base seat, a circuitry unit and an outer casing. The base seat includes a mouthpiece. The circuitry unit includes a first circuit board, a battery, and first and second switches disposed on the first circuit board. The outer casing is movable relative to the base seat between a close position where the outer casing covers the mouthpiece and where the first switch is actuated such that electric power is prevented from being supplied from the battery to the first circuit board, and an open position where the outer casing uncovers the mouthpiece and where the second switch is actuated such that electric power is supplied from the battery to the first circuit board.
PELLET SUBSTRATES FOR VAPORIZING AND DELIVERING AN AEROSOL
Pellet substrates configured for use with a vapor delivery device to vaporize and deliver an aerosol to a user include porous, substantially inert activated carbon and activated alumina pellets that have generally spherical, semi-spherical and/or rounded shapes. The pellet substrates are formed by mixing the pellets together with a liquid solution of an aerosol former admixed with flavoring and/or nicotine, tobacco powder, or tobacco extract such that the liquid solution is absorbed into and/or adsorbed onto the porous structure of the pellets with or without the addition of heat. The pellets may be coated with an inert dry powder, such as calcium carbonate, to better adhere the liquid solution to the porous surfaces of the pellets. Alternatively, or in addition, the pellets may be coated with a liquid solution of a cellulose gum, such as sodium carboxymethylcellulose, and distilled water to reduce fracturing, cracking, chipping and dusting of the pellet substrates.
Dry powder inhaler
The present invention relates to an inhaler which is appropriate for delivery of medicament in dry powder form used in respiratory diseases, particularly in asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). In addition, the present invention relates to an inhaler which includes a blister package appropriate for carrying the medicament in dry powder form and used to realize an effective inhalation.
A POWDER INHALER DEVICE
A powder inhaler device comprising a body provided with a housing (102) able to receive a dose of a medicinal substance, a channelling (3, 102) tangential to the housing provided with holes communicating with an external environment, a mouth-piece (101) communicating with the channeling and able to aspirate air from the external environment through the holes, generating a flow which on a pathway thereof involves the containing housing of the medicine, in which the body, the housing and the mouth piece form a single piece and single-use unit able to contain a single dose of medicine.
Inhalation device
A dry inhaler system includes a vibrating mechanism. A supply of a dry powder is operatively coupled to the vibrating mechanism. A power source communicates with the vibrating mechanism. A sensor communicates with the vibrating mechanism. A feedback control communicates with the sensor and the power source. The feedback control controls power delivered to the vibrating mechanism relative to information provided by the sensor about the performance of the vibrating mechanism.
CARTRIDGE UNIT COUPLER
Some embodiments relate to a cartridge for use with an inhaler, the cartridge comprising: a plurality of source material units and a unit coupler configured for selectively interlocking to each of the source material units so that when the cartridge is operably attached to the inhaler, manipulation of the unit coupler moves the interlocked source material unit away from or back into the cartridge; the unit coupler and each of the source material units being formed with an interlocking geometry in which a protrusion of one fits within a respective recess of the other.
Vaporization system with integrated heaters
A system for vaporization of plant-derived concentrates is provided that includes a reusable device that contains electronic features, one or more heaters; and a disposable cartridge that provides an array of concentrate aliquots. Each concentrate aliquot of the array can conveniently be individually addressed by one of the heaters.
POWDER INHALATION DEVICE AND MEDICAMENT BOX
Disclosed is a powder inhalation device and a medicament box, the powder inhalation device including a carrier plate, a mouthpiece, an air intake slot and an air intake slot, where the carrier plate is formed with a through hole, and an annular groove is provided at an outer periphery of the through hole; the mouthpiece is disposed above the carrier plate; the capsule chamber is disposed under the carrier plate, and the capsule chamber also communicates with an outside atmosphere; air intake slots are spaced around the outer periphery of the through hole, each of the air intake slots including a horizontal slot section and an oblique slot section; and the horizontal slot section is located on an upper surface of the carrier plate, the oblique slot section is located on a sidewall of the annular groove, and the horizontal slot section is connected to the oblique slot section.
