AEROSOL GENERATION DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An aerosol generation device includes: a load configured to heat an aerosol generation article including an aerosol-forming substrate configured to hold or carry at least one of an aerosol source and a flavor source; and a controller configured to control power that is supplied from a power source to the load. When a phase where a temperature of the load is equal to or higher than a value at which a predetermined amount or more of aerosols is capable of being generated from the aerosol generation article, the controller is configured to acquire the temperature of the load and a degree of progress of the phase, to execute feedback control so that the temperature of the load converges to a predetermined temperature, and to increase a gain in the feedback control or an upper limit value of the power, as the degree of progress progresses, in the feedback control.
Device for controlling the intake of drugs, system for signaling and controlling the intake of drugs
Device (1) for controlling the intake of drugs, applicable to a package (50) containing one or more doses of a drug, said device (1) comprising: sensor means (21) adapted to detect the vibrational energy transferred to said package (50), in response of interactions of a user with said package (50) to release one or more doses of said drug; a processor (25) connected to said sensor means (21); wherein said processor (25) is configured to calculate intake information of said drug on the basis of the vibrational energy detected by said sensor means (21); system for signalling the intake of drugs; system (100) for controlling the intake of drugs and drug accessories (10, 20, 30, 40, 40b) comprising such device (1) applicable to drug packages.
Integrated insulin delivery system with continuous glucose sensor
Systems and methods for integrating a continuous glucose sensor 12, including a receiver 14, a medicament delivery device 16, a controller module, and optionally a single point glucose monitor 18 are provided. Integration may be manual, semi-automated and/or fully automated.
Ophthalmic drug delivery
The present invention includes and provides a method of delivering a medicament to an eye of a subject in need thereof a solution, the method comprising: (a) providing droplets containing the medicament with a specified average size and average initial ejecting velocity; and (b) delivering the medicament to the eye, where the droplets deliver a percentage of the ejected mass of the droplets to the eye.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR RECOGNITION OF INHALER ACTUATION
A medication confirmation method and apparatus for confirming administration of medication employing an inhalable medication administration apparatus. The method of an embodiment of the invention includes the steps of capturing one or more video sequences of a user administering medication employing the inhalable medication administration apparatus, storing the captured one or more video sequences, capturing one or more audio sequences of the user administering medication employing the inhalable medication administration apparatus and storing the captured one or more audio sequences. At least one of the stored video sequences and at least one of the stored audio sequences are then analyzed to confirm that the user has properly administered the medication.
Nebulizer device
In one embodiment, the present disclosure provides a portable nebulizer comprising a housing, a mouthpiece, a reservoir, a disk having multiple pores, and a unit that is configured to cause the disk to vibrate, wherein the vibration of the disk creates a pressure differential that causes a fluid from the reservoir to move through the disk to create an aerosol for delivery. In one embodiment, the mouthpiece may be held in place with at least one metal plate imbedded in the mouthpiece and at least one magnet imbedded in the housing. In one embodiment, the reservoir may have a non-cylindrical shape. In one embodiment, the nebulizer may comprise a battery and a USB port for charging the battery.
RELEASABLE MONITOR WITH OPTICAL DOSE COUNTER FOR A MEDICAMENT INHALER
Some embodiments are directed to a device for monitoring patient usage of a medicament inhaler, being adapted to deliver doses of medicament. The device includes a housing, for releasable attachment to the medicament inhaler, and a sensor configured to determine when a dose of medicament has been dispensed from the medicament inhaler. The device is attachable to the medicament inhaler, and is subsequently operable without any modifications being required to be made to the medicament inhaler. The device may also include an electronic control module which is in communication with the sensor, the electronic control module being adapted to monitor and/or store data relating to patient usage of the medicament inhaler.
