DRUG DELIVERY DEVICES WITH ON-BOARD DRUG DESTRUCTION
Various exemplary drug delivery devices with on-board drug destruction, drug products utilizing the same, and methods of using drug delivery devices with on-board drug destruction are provided. In general, a nasal drug delivery device configured to dispense a drug therefrom into a nose includes a destruction mechanism configured to destroy drug contained in the drug delivery device. The destruction mechanism can be configured to destroy the drug before a first actuation of the drug delivery device to deliver the drug therefrom such that the destruction mechanism destroys substantially all of the drug contained in the drug delivery device. Alternatively or in addition, the destruction mechanism can be configured to destroy the drug after a first actuation of the drug delivery device to deliver the drug therefrom such that the destruction mechanism destroys substantially all of the drug remaining in the drug delivery device.
Tracking module securable to respiratory device
An inhaler tracker module is secured to an inhaler and has an activation sensor for sensing use of the inhaler. The tracker module includes a memory for storing inhaler use data, and a communications component for wirelessly transmitting the stored inhaler use data. The tracker module is wrapped around the inhaler body and includes a pressure switch located at the top of the canister to detect a user pressing the canister into the body for inhaler use. The tracking module has a standby mode in which it remains until inhaler use or until inhaler use data is stored and it is transmitted. A pairing function is provided.
DEVICE FOR DISPENSING A FLUID PRODUCT
A dispenser having tank; dispensing head having a dispensing port axially movable, a dispensing member actuated when the tank is moved upwards; an inner body having a hollow cylinder receiving the dispenser and an axial extension extending axially downwards; a control module having an electronic board, a motor and a motor wheel; an outer body receiving the inner body and control module; a thrust member in contact with the tank and axially movable on the inner body between rest and actuation positions; a control member attached to the thrust member and axially moving therewith; and a locking ring mounted on the axial extension rotatable between locking and releasing positions. The locking ring is moved by the control module cooperates in the locking position with the thrust member to prevent axial movement of latter and in the releasing position with the thrust member to enable axial movement towards the actuation position.
Mist inhaler devices
A mist inhaler device (200) for generating a mist for inhalation by a user. The device includes a mist generator device (201) and a driver device (202). The driver device (202) is configured to drive the mist generator device (201) at an optimum frequency to maximise the efficiency of mist generation by the mist generator device (201).
USER FEEDBACK SYSTEM AND METHOD
A user feedback system for a user of a delivery device within a delivery ecosystem includes an estimation processor adapted to identify at least a first feedback action based upon one or more user factors, the at least first feedback action relating to an amount or nature of an active ingredient delivered by the delivery device, the feedback action being expected to alter a state of the user as indicated at least in part by the one or more user factors; and a feedback processor adapted to select at least a first identified feedback action, and to cause a modification of one or more operations of at least a first device within the delivery ecosystem, according to the or each selected feedback action.
Method and system for drug delivery
There is provided in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a device and a method for controlled extraction of at least one active substance from at least one type of plant matter by application of heat, the device comprising: a heating element adapted to apply heat to an area of the plant matter to extract the substance; and a mechanism adapted for moving the plant matter relative to the heating element. Optionally, the active substance is a restricted substance. There is also provided in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a method of monitoring and controlling inhalation of a restricted substance. There is provided in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the invention, a method of manufacturing a tape of plant matter comprising an active substance.
AEROSOL SUPPLY DEVICE
An aerosol supply device includes: an accommodating part (cartridge) configured to accommodate a liquid; an atomization unit configured to atomize the liquid to generate an aerosol; a discharge port configured to discharge the generated aerosol to the outside of the aerosol supply device; and a volatilization preventing part (solenoid valve or duckbill valve) capable of opening and closing a passage (first passage or second passage) through which at least one of the liquid or the aerosol flows between the accommodating part and the outside of the aerosol supply device.
AEROSOL SUPPLY DEVICE
This aerosol supply device is provided with: an accommodating section (cartridge) that accommodates a liquid; an atomizing unit that atomizes the liquid to generate an aerosol; and an atomizing amount adjusting unit (gyro sensor and control unit) that adjusts the atomizing amount of the atomizing unit. The aerosol supply device is characterized in that the atomizing amount adjusting unit (gyro sensor and control unit) stabilizes the atomizing amount regardless of the inclination of the aerosol supply device within at least a certain range.
SECURE SMART DOSING SYSTEM WITH AUTOMATED DELIVERY, MEASUREMENT, AND MANAGEMENT FOR PILLS
A smart dosing device includes: a supply pathway having a compartment that is able to house a plurality of discrete doses of a particular substance; at least one sensor that captures identifying information related to the particular substance; a wireless communication module; and at least one security feature that restricts use of the smart dosing device. A method of providing a measured dose using a smart dosing device includes: retrieving a discrete dose from a storage cavity of the smart dosing device; and providing the discrete dose via an outlet port of the smart dosing device.
