ACCESSORY FOR BASEBALL-STYLE CAP
The combination of a headwear piece having: a) a crown with a wall having an inside surface bounding a space for receiving a part of a wearer's head; and b) a rim/bill projecting from a forward region of the crown; and an accessory having a body with a thickness between front and rear sides and made from a material that substantially blocks migration of moisture therethrough. The accessory has an array of small openings extending through the body thickness to provide for air passage. The accessory is configured to be placed in an operative position against the inside surface of the crown wall at the forward region of the crown to reduce contaminant transmission from a wearer's head to the inside surface of the crown wall at the forward region.
Dermal heatsink exhibiting hydrophilic and contaminant resistant properties and method for fabricating a dermal heatsink
One variation of a method for fabricating a dermal heatsink includes: fabricating a substrate defining an interior surface, an exterior surface opposite the interior surface, and an open network of pores extending between the interior surface and the exterior surface; activating surfaces of the substrate and walls of the open network of pores; applying a coating over the substrate to form a heatsink, the coating comprising a porous, hydrophilic material and defining a void network; removing an excess of the coating from the substrate to clear blockages within the open network of pores by the coating; hydrating the heatsink during a curing period; heating the heatsink during the curing period to increase porosity of the coating applied over surfaces of the substrate; and rinsing the heatsink with an acid to decarbonate the coating along walls of the open network of pores in the substrate.
PROTECTIVE HEADBAND
Protective headbands are disclosed. One protective headband has a padding layer that includes a pair of first portions extending in a first direction along a first axis, a second portion extending in the first direction and spaced from the first axis, and a pair of angled portions connecting between the pair of first portions and the second portion. Another protective headband has a padding layer that includes a pair of first arcuate portions, and a second arcuate portion extending between the pair of first arcuate portions, the second arcuate portion curving in a same direction as the pair of first arcuate portions.

BASEBALL CAP WITH INTERCHANGEABLE PARTS
A hat with interchangeable parts is disclosed, the hat comprising a cap portion with a lower peripheral edge and one or more panels at least partially forming a crown of the hat. Some implementations also include a brim portion removably attached to the cap portion adjacent to the lower peripheral edge and extending away from a front face of the crown of the hat. Implementations can also include one or more interchangeable logos removably attached to the cap portion of the hat, a button removably attached to a crown apex of the crown of the hat, and/or an interchangeable back strap removably attached opposite the front face of the crown.
Woven hat and method for manufacturing woven hat by using ultrasonic sewing technology without sewing thread
Woven hats and methods for manufacturing woven hats by using an ultrasonic sewing technology without a sewing thread are disclosed. One illustrative method comprises steps such as: cutting a raw material of a hat crown into a plurality of pieces, then bonding such material in pairs using an ultrasonic sewing machine, applying to seam areas a hot-pressing bonding technology of heat-seal adhesive tape, and/or otherwise completing the manufacturing of the hat crown; manufacturing a visor by using a high-frequency hot-pressing technology; manufacturing a sweatband by using a one-time hot-pressing technology; bonding the hat crown, the visor, and the sweatband with an ultrasonic sewing machine; and fixing a rear fastener or a tail belt through rivets. The disclosed technology makes it easier to realize intelligent and automatic reformation of the manufacturing line.

SWEAT DIVERTER
Described herein are sweat-diverting devices which can be adhered to a wearer by an adhesive. The sweat-diverting devices described here may be adhered over a portion of the face without circumscribing the head. Such sweat-diverting devices may comprise one or more curves or other features that conform to the facial features of the wearer. In some variations, a sweat-diverting device is configured to be worn at various heights on the forehead, over or under the brow line, and/or over the eyes. A sweat-diverting device can also be used in pairs, for example, where one device is positioned over each eye. Sun-shading devices, with or without sweat-diverting features, are also described.
