Anesthetic gas scavenging and sanitary breathing tube securing device
A sanitary device for securing a breathing tube to a patient during anesthesia administration, which also prevents leaking anesthetic gases from entering the operating room environment. The novel design allows rapid application by the user and prevents potential transmission of infectious agents to the patient while securing the breathing tube. A unique, integrated suction system efficiently evacuates leaking anesthetic gases. The device may be manufactured inexpensively and is provided in sanitary packaging. It is intended for single use.
Multi-channel flexible laryngeal mask airway device
Airway devices, systems, and methods are provided that can achieve ventilation of lungs through a mask that seals around the glottis and connects to a flexible airway channel, while also providing evacuation of gastric and/or pharyngeal body fluid and/or blood during upper airway surgeries or procedures.
SHIELDED INTUBATION GUIDE AND METHOD
A shielded intubation guide for use in an endotracheal intubation procedure, the shielded intubation guide including: an elongate body defining a passageway extending between a proximal opening and a distal opening for receiving a blade portion of an intubation device, the shielded intubation guide being configured for insertion into a mouth of the subject so that the proximal opening is positioned proximate to the mouth and the distal opening is positioned in an airway of the subject; and a shield around the proximal opening for substantially reducing emissions from the mouth, the shielded intubation guide allowing endotracheal intubation to be performed by: inserting the blade portion of the intubation device into the passageway; positioning a distal end of the blade portion proximate to the larynx of the subject; and advancing an endotracheal tube along the blade portion through the passageway into a trachea of the subject.
VISUAL LARYNGEAL MASK
The present invention provides an improved visual laryngeal mask comprising a tube, an end of the tube is provided with a fixing seat. The fixing seat is provided with an airbag, and the fixing seat has a recess which is provided with an airway opening. An imaging cavity extends longitudinally inside an inner wall of the tube. The imaging cavity has a built-in imaging device, and the imaging cavity protrudes forward relative to the airway opening to form a stopper which prevents an epiglottis from blocking the imaging device. A front end of the stopper is concaved to form a recess, and an opening of the imaging cavity is located at a low point of the recess.
A DEVICE FOR A RESPIRATION ARRANGEMENT
The present invention relates to a device for a respiration arrangement. The device comprises a conduit having a first opening connectable to an air/gas source such as a resuscitation bag, and a second opening connectable to a face mask, such that a fluid pathway along a longitudinal direction of the conduit is established from the first opening to the second opening. The device further comprises a flow constriction, arranged in the conduit which upon fluid flow through the conduit results in a pressure difference over the flow constriction, the flow constriction at least partly comprising a laminar flow section, wherein the device further comprises at least one pressure connecting port arranged in pressurized communication with fluid between the flow constriction and the first opening, and wherein the pressure connecting port is arranged in the longitudinal direction of the conduit.
MEDICAL APPARATUS FOR INSERTION INTO A BODY PASSAGE AND METHODS FOR USE
A medical apparatus for insertion into an internal passage of a subject is provided having a body portion defining an exterior surface; one or more sensors disposed on the exterior surface of the body portion, the one or more sensors providing an insertion force profile representing the force exerted by the internal passage on the sensors during insertion of the body portion; and a processor and non-volatile storage associated therewith, the processor configured to execute software to compare the insertion force profile provided by the sensors with two or more training force profiles stored on the storage, and classify the insertion force profile provided by the sensors as corresponding to at least one of the training force profiles.
Suction devices for medical devices and medical device systems including suction devices
A suction device for use with a medical device may include a suction device body and an extension. The suction device body may include a first lumen positioned therein and including a plurality of holes. The extension may include a second lumen positioned therein and may be coupled to the suction device body and configured to facilitate connection of the suction device body to a suction line. The second lumen may be in communication with/open to the first lumen and the suction line may be adapted for connection to a pump configured to apply a negative pressure to the first and second lumens. The suction device may evacuate fluids and/or solids from a patient in an area proximate to the suction device.
Airway management device and method of manufacture
An airway management device comprising a body having a proximal end for receiving an oxygen supply tube and an distal end for insertion into a trachea of a patient; said body including a linear portion adjacent to the proximal end and a curved portion adjacent to the distal end; said body including an external shell and having a first bore through said shell for receiving the oxygen supply tube; wherein flexural strength for said airway management device is provided by said shell.
Medical devices and methods of placement
The present invention provides medical devices comprising at least one visualization device sealed to, attached to or otherwise combined with at least one of the following second devices: an oral airway, ventilating mask, urinary catheter, trocar, a tool tube, and a medical glove. The present invention also provides methods for rapid and accurate placement of a medical device in a patient and continuous real time monitoring, including a remote monitoring, of the patient after the placement.
Laryngeal mask airway for sedative endoscopy
The present invention provides laryngeal mask airway for sedative endoscopy, including: a laryngeal mask/endoscope guide unit which is positioned in a larynx region inlet through a patient's oral cavity and guides a supply of air to a respiratory tract and insertion of an endoscope into an esophagus; an airway unit which is connected to the laryngeal mask/endoscope guide unit to supply air to the patient's respiratory tract and to allow the patient's breathing state to be visually checked; a mouthpiece unit which is installed outside the airway unit and fixed between the patient's teeth to protect a tube of the airway and an endoscopic probe inserted into the oral cavity; and an indication end which is positioned at a portion of the mouthpiece positioned outside the oral cavity and moves in accordance with the patient's breathing state to allow spontaneous breathing to be checked, such that the patient's safe airway may be ensured, the insertion of the endoscopic probe and the procedure may be smoothly performed, the patient's spontaneous breathing is easily checked even in a dark space, and as a result, the endoscopy may be safely performed.
