A hardhat with a protected overhead cooling fan comprises: a main hardhat body component having an upper aperture through which air is drawn and pulled down into a battery powered cooling fan; a fan cover component spaced at least about ¼ inch from and permanently adhered to the main hardhat body with a plurality of linear ridges; a battery pack for the cooling fan; and a plurality of connecting wires. A method of use is also disclosed.

Headwear with airflow visor. The headwear includes a crown with a head receiving portion configured to be receivable on a head of a user. A sweatband extends along at least a portion of an inner edge of the head receiving portion of the crown. A brim or visor extends outwardly from a lower edge of the crown adjacent the sweatband. Described are concepts that generally relate to a personal positive pressure purified air environment for airplane travel. Simply put, certain embodiments of the present invention are directed to connecting a tube to an airplane air vent at one end and a clear plastic hood, mask, or helmet at the other end. The clear plastic hood, mask, or helmet all have an exit path for the air to flow out. In relation to the clear plastic hood embodiment, it is envisioned that the clear plastic hood can simply drape over person's head with the hood's opening at or above a person shoulder while positive pressure from the filtered air constantly flows out from the hood's opening.
