Venting system for hats
A venting system for hats has a resilient, shock-absorbing headband inside the lower periphery of a hat dome. The headband has inner and outer annular bands spaced apart by a air passages. A plurality of arcuate septums are in contact with one another consecutively around a perimeter of the headband. Inwardly directed forces normal to the headband are converted into compressive forces on the septums directed along the headband perimeter. Forces on the head of the user are thereby reduced. A top vent with ports around a chamber extends upward from the dome. A cover across the top vent sheds water. The top vent is selectively movable upward into an open position to allow air flow through the headband air passage, the dome, the chamber, and out of the ports by convection. Ambient air will also flow in through the top vent ports and exit the ports on the opposite side. This will cause a lower than ambient air pressure to draw air out, cooling the dome. The top vent is selectively movable downward into a closed position to stop air flow, and retain heat inside the dome.
Headband arrangement and welding helmet equipped with the same
The present application relates to a headband arrangement comprising: an attachment structure; and a helmet mounting structure which can be selectively slid along the attachment structure, the helmet mounting structure having a lockable component, the lockable component being pivotable about a pivotal shaft between a locking position and an unlocking position, wherein a first magnetic part is secured in the lockable component, a second magnetic part is secured in the helmet mounting structure or the attachment structure, a repulsive force can be generated between the first and second magnetic parts to drive the lockable component to return from the unlocking position to the locking position and to hold the lockable component in the locking position. The present application also relates to a headband arrangement having a band part for attaching at or adjacent to the back of a user's head, wherein the band part is provided with a sheath for adjusting the band part's length, and a cushion structure is pivotally provided on a side of the sheath facing the back of the user's head. The present application further relates to a welding helmet having one of said headband arrangements.

VENTILATION AND TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT OPENING FOR OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT
An outdoor item such as a sleeping bag, jacket, hat or blanket with one or more ventilation/temperature adjustment openings. Each ventilation/temperature adjustment opening includes a fastening mechanism that when opened, an opening is formed in the outer layer and insulative material/layer of the sleeping bag but not in the inner layer, allowing the outdoor item to vent better, thereby cooling an occupant using or wearing the outdoor item thereby offering temperature regulation.

Methods and apparatus for a head covering device with increased air circulation
Methods and apparatus for a head covering may improve air circulation through any suitable head covering. Methods and apparatus for a head covering may comprise a base configured to fit around a wearer's head, a sidewall comprising a plurality of open cells configured to prevent light rays at or above a predetermined angle relative to the passageway of each cell from passing unobstructed through the cell, and a crown configured to close of the interior surface of the sidewall. The minimum depth of each cell may be determined based on the height of the cell, the angle at or above which the light rays are to obstructed, and the angle of the exterior cell opening. The cells may be arranged in the sidewall such that the lower surface of the passageway of each cell is substantially at the same angle with respect to a horizontal plane.

Head ventilation devices, systems and related methods
The present disclosure is directed to head ventilation devices and systems. A shell which may be worn as a hat includes a gap along at least a portion of a user's hatline defined by one or more spacer assemblies. An airflow assembly disposed at an upper end of the shell and spaced apart from the user's scalp causes airflow through the gap and an upper opening to ventilate a user's head. Additional protection features for sun shading, inclement weather, and/or safety may also be included.
