IRRIGATING INTRALUMINAL SUCTION INNER CANNULA SYSTEM
20230405251 · 2023-12-21 ·

An irrigating intraluminal suction inner cannula system for a tracheostomy tube may be a suction-powered system that may be used for suction alone or a combination of rinse and intraluminal suction for tracheostomy tubes in place of conventional catheter-based intraluminal suction. An inner cannula includes chambers, or regions, and holes that facilitate intraluminal suction and cleaning at multiple locations within the tracheostomy tube. It may be applied/actuated by a patient, healthcare worker, caretaker, or via an electronic system either on-demand or on regular or triggered intervals, in either inpatient/hospital or outpatient/ambulatory care setting.

WEARABLE SUCTION ASPIRATOR FOR NASAL, ORAL AND TRACHEOSTOMY AIRWAY SECRETIONS
20210016036 · 2021-01-21 · ·

A wearable suction catheter that can be used without clinician control. The suction catheter attaches on or near the patient with a patient interface configured for the shape of the nose, mouth or tracheostomy tube. The patient interface includes at least two radial duct openings and each end of the interface is connected to airway tubing ending in a wye. The wye end of the catheter includes a cleaning access port and is attached to a suction source that provides continuous or intermittent suction.

Tracheostomy tube assemblies and inner cannulae

A tracheostomy tube assembly includes an outer tube (1) and an inner cannula (2) removably inserted in the outer tube. The connector (15) on the machine end of the outer tube is rotatable through about a quarter turn and has a screw thread (30) on its inner surface. The hub (33) on the machine end of the inner cannula (2) is also formed with a screw thread (35) arranged to engage with the screw thread (30) in the connector. The inner cannula (2) is pulled into the outer tube (1), or is pushed outwardly of the tube, by rotating the connector.

Tracheal tube and method of production

It is the object of the invention, which relates to a tracheal tube (1) and a method for producing a tracheal tube (1), to provide a tracheal tube (1) with a connector (3), wherein the connector (3) is connected to a curved tube (2) by way of a rotatable and pivotable connection that can be easily realized. This object is solved with a device having a joint head part (4) of a ball joint arranged on first end of the connector (3) facing the curved tube (2), a first partial socket (2.1) of the ball joint arranged on a first end of the curved tube (2) facing the connector (3), a locking socket (5) arranged as a second partial socket of the ball joint, and a locking ring (6) arranged for connecting the locking socket (5) with the curved tube (2).

Ventilator to tracheotomy tube coupling

A coupling for connecting an air supply to a respiratory support device has a latching mechanism which prevents the coupling from inadvertently axially displacing from the respiratory support device after they have been mated in a pneumatically discrete path. Non-axial forces are used to disengage the coupling from the respiratory support device. The coupling may include a trailing end adapter which permits rotation of the coupling relative to the air supply rather than to the respiratory support device.

Arrangement in the form of a tracheostoma prosthesis for easy insertion and easy removal of an inner cannula

A tracheostoma prosthesis having inner and outer cannulas is provided with a lockable connection for releasably locking the inner cannula to the outer cannula under the influence only of compressive force for locking and tensile force for unlocking. Surfaces on a proximal part of the inner cannula for gripping by a thumb and forefinger are exposed by recesses provided in a proximal part of the outer cannula. These surfaces permit manual application of sufficient compressive and tensile force to respectively lock and unlock the lockable connection.

Tracheostomy tube assemblies and inner cannulae

A tracheostomy tube assembly includes an outer tube (1) and an inner cannula (2) inserted in the outer tube. Two lugs (36) and (37) project outwardly from the inner cannula. The outer tube has a connector (15) that is rotatable and has catch members (28) and (29) that can be rotated into alignment with the lugs (36) and (37) on the inner cannula so as to retain the inner cannula in the outer tube. The inner cannula is removed by twisting the connector (15) through 90 so that the catch members (28) (and 29) move out of alignment with the lugs (36) and (37) to enable the inner cannula to be pulled rearwardly out of the outer tube.

TRACHEOTOMY DEVICE

An aspect of the disclosure is related to a medical device for providing an air passageway through a neck of a patient. In one embodiment, the medical device may include: a neckband configured to extend around the neck of the patient, the neckband including a connector positioned along a length of the neckband for positioning along an anterior part of the neck of the patient, the connector including a connector through hole; a cannula having an elongated tube extending from a connecting head, the elongated tube being configured to extend into a trachea of the patient and including an inner passageway, the connecting head having a through hole that is continuous with the inner passageway of the elongated tube thereby allowing air to pass through the cannula into the trachea, the connecting head having an outer diameter that is sized to have a friction fit with the connector through hole.

LARYNX MASK HAVING A CONNECTOR

A larynx mask is provided that comprises a dorsal cover plate with an inflatable cuff integrally formed thereon and a tube connecting connector having an insertion section for connecting to an insertion tube. Two separate lumens are provided in the region of the insertion section, these being the esophageal lumen and a respiration lumen. These two lumens are separated from each other by a separating and supporting, wall. The separating and supporting wall extends from the insertion section to the tip of the larynx mask. While the esophageal lumen opens into an esophageal outlet at the proximal end of the mask, the respiration lumen opens in the ventral direction and is closed in the proximal direction close to the tip of the mask. Such a larynx mask is produced in one piece by way of injection of molding and is reinforced by the separating or supporting wall to prevent kinking.

Methods of cleaning endotracheal tubes including light treatment
