An article of footwear includes a midsole, an upper disposed above the midsole, and an outsole disposed below the midsole. The midsole includes a unitary lattice structure having an upper side and a lower side, wherein the upper side is a user-facing side and the lower side is a ground-facing side. The midsole further includes an upper rim integrally formed with the unitary lattice structure. The upper rim extends around an upper perimeter defined on the upper side of the lattice structure.

Article of footwear with elongated shock absorbing heel system

An article of footwear is disclosed having at least one elongated heel support member. The elongated heel support member may be angled and extend from a heel region to a midfoot region, in order to disperse forces applied by a wearer's heel during movement. The heel system may include two heel support members, each associated with a side of the article of footwear. The article of footwear may also include a series of ribs in the midfoot region, which may abut a front edge of the heel support members. Finally, the article of footwear may include asymmetric side flaps extending downward from an upper plate so as to overlap a midsole.

CONTOURED PEG INSOLE

A peg insole including an integrally molded unitary foam body covered. The foam body may be covered with a cover layer, such as a stretchable fabric, on a top surface of the foam body opposite the pegs. The foam body is includes a base layer with a plurality of pegs protruding therefrom. The foam body may include a contoured shaped to comfortably fit a patient's foot including, for example, a medial support portion, a lateral support portion, and a heel cup. The peg insole may be used, for example, in a medical shoe. Also provided is a method for forming the peg insole.

Footwear Sole Structure with Carrier and Frame

A sole structure for an article of footwear may include a carrier and a frame. The frame may include walls that define cells. The carrier may cover the frame. The frame may be joined to and located on a top side of the carrier.

Articulated sole structure with sipes forming hexagonal sole elements

A footwear sole structure may include a plurality of discrete hexagonally-shaped sole elements defined by a plurality of sipes. The sipes may include a plurality of sipes that extend in a transverse direction across the sole structure and a plurality of sipes that extend in an oblique direction relative to the transverse sipes. A plurality of sipes may also subdivide the hexagonally-shaped sole elements into one or more diamond-shaped sole element portions. The sole structure may include additional features such as non-hexagonal sole elements and lugs distributed across a bottom surface of the sole structure.

Described are soles for a shoe having a region with a plurality of pellets, each pellet having a hollow core structure. The plurality of pellets are formed of a composite material comprising a base layer and an outer layer. The base layer is formed of a material having a first melting temperature, and the outer layer is formed of a material having a second melting temperature. The first melting temperature is greater than the second melting temperature, and the plurality of pellets are bonded through melting of the outer layers while the inner layers retain the hollow core structure without melting.

DUAL LAYER SOLE SYSTEM WITH AUXETIC STRUCTURE

A sole structure including a first layer and a second layer is disclosed. The first layer includes a set of apertures arranged in an auxetic configuration that permits the first layer to exhibit a first auxetic behavior. The second layer includes a set of projections arranged in an auxetic configuration that permits the second layer to exhibit a second auxetic behavior. The first layer and the second layer may be joined together in a manner that allows the first auxetic behavior to occur independently of the second auxetic behavior.

A shoe includes an upper, an outsole, and a midsole. The midsole can be constructed with a plurality of geometric protrusions formed in the upper surface of the midsole, the lower surface of the midsole, or both surfaces. In one embodiment, the protrusions can be substantially triangular in cross-section. A plurality of grooves can separate the protrusions from one another including a first set grooves extending in a longitudinal direction, a second set of grooves extending in a lateral direction, a third set of grooves extending at a positive angle relative to longitudinal direction and a fourth set of grooves extending at a negative angle relative to the longitudinal direction.

An article of footwear has an auxetic sole structure formed from members surrounding apertures. The members may have a trapezoidal geometry. Adjoining members are hingedly connected, so that they can rotate with respect to each other in the plane of the sole structure. The rotation allows the auxetic sole structure to expand when tension is applied.
