PUNCTURE CRICOTHYROTOMY SET
A puncture cricothyrotomy set includes a tracheal tube and a puncture cannula arranged therein, which has a rotary actuating device with a handle. By moving the handle about its rotational axis, the puncture cannula can be moved from its puncture position into the tracheal tube far enough that the tip section is arranged completely within the tracheal tube.
Tracheotomy device and method of use
A device for performing a tracheotomy on a patient without the assistance of a medical professional. The device may include one or more mechanical arms that cause a blade to create an incision, cause a dilating tool to dilate the incision, and cause a tracheotomy tube to be inserted into the incision. The device may further include a scanner and/or a hollow needle connected to an air pressure sensor that may be used to detect whether the device is aligned with the patient's airway.
Surgical Device For Creating A Surgical Airway
A surgical device used for creating a surgical airway into the patient's trachea is disclosed. The device could enable a person or medical professional to make an incision through the patient tissue for creating the surgical airway in the patient's trachea. The device comprises a handle and a bolster. The handle having a longitudinal cavity at a second end for securely receiving and holding a blade. The bolster is securely and slidably positioned into a recess at the second end of the handle using a pair of latches. The bolster is configured to freely slide in and out of the handle for concealing and exposing the blade, thereby enabling a person or medical professional to make an incision proximate the patient's trachea for creating the surgical airway and allowing to simply insert a conventional tracheal tube via the incision to facilitate oxygenation and ventilation during emergency medical conditions.
System and method for emergency apneic oxygenation
Techniques for emergency apneic oxygenation include a cannula having a longitudinal inner passage with an inner diameter. A distal portion has a first outer diameter greater than the inner diameter, and is made of shape memory material shaped to bend in a first direction along the inner passage. A cannula base has a second outer diameter greater than the first outer diameter. A distance from a distal end of the cannula to a proximal end of the distal portion of the cannula is less than a distance from a surface of a throat of a subject to a distal surface of an airway of the subject. The inner passage is configured to pass a catheter connected at a proximal end to an oxygen source. In various embodiments, the cannula is used with a trocar and, optionally, a system base, or supplied in a kit with a catheter.
Acute pulmonary pressurization device and method of use
A system and method for relief of negative lung pressure during acute laryngospasm or upper airway obstruction, providing a non-toxic gas cartridge capable of supplying between 0.5-5 liters of gas during a procedure, a valve adapted to commence and stop gas release, and a trans-cricothyroid cartilage inflation needle for acutely relieving the negative pressure in the chest. The needle may also be used to insert a guidewire to assist in endotracheal tube insertion.
SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS FOR PERFORMING A PERCUTANEOUS TRACHEOSTOMY
Devices, systems, and methods for creating a percutaneous tracheostomy are described herein. A system can include an inflation assembly and a guidewire assembly. The inflation assembly can include an elongated tube, an inflatable member, and a magnetic member. The elongated tube can have a first end, a second end, and can define a lumen. The inflatable member can be coupled to the first end of the elongated tube and can be fluidically coupled to the lumen such that the inflatable member can receive fluid via the lumen. The magnetic member can be coupled to the first end of the elongated tube such that movement of the magnetic member can cause corresponding movement of the first end of the elongated tube. The first end of a guidewire of the guidewire assembly can include a coupling member, the coupling member configured to couple to the inflatable member such that translation of the elongated tube translates the guidewire assembly.
Cricothyrotomy Device
A cricothyrotomy device comprises an incision member and an insertion member that are joined together but separable. The incision member further comprises a scalpel, a scalpel cap, a spring assembly, and an incision holder. The insertion member comprises a cannula, a cannula cap, and an insertion handle.
LIGHT-BASED MEDICAL DEVICE
Embodiments describe a light-based medical device that uses light to luminesce tissue, and collect the reflected light, to perform analysis on the reflection characteristics in real-time to detect the type of surrounding tissue as well deeper tissue in the trajectory of the luminescence. Such device can be incorporated inside needles, catheters, tubes or piercing or biopsy tools, surgical blades, surgical tweezers, and so on, to direct their insertions and operations in specific zones. Importantly, because of the easy-to-use design, embodiments can be used without the need of highly trained personnel or expensive hospital equipment. Therefore, embodiments can be utilized in emergency situations that require fast responses, performed in ERs, moving vehicles, ambulances, and battlefields.
Insertion aid
The present invention relates to a device for inserting a tracheostomy tube, comprising a guide element and a dilator, wherein the guide element has a shield, wherein, according to the invention, the guide element has a first securing means and the dilator has a corresponding second securing means, whereby the guide element can be detachably connected by positive locking to the dilator in a position in which a distal end of the dilator is engaged with an inner surface of the shield when the latter is in the first state.
Tracheoscope catheter bending structure
The tracheoscope catheter bending structure mainly includes a main elastic spring ring, two small elastic spring rings and a fixed seat, wherein the main elastic spring ring is arranged inside a hose at the far end of a tracheoscope catheter; the two small elastic spring rings are arranged at the internal opposite two side positions of the main elastic spring ring; two pull wires provided for a tracheoscope are respectively penetrated through the two small elastic spring rings; the fixed seat is held at the farthest end of the hose; the far ends of the two pull wires respectively pass through penetration holes at the two sides of the fixed seat and are fixed; the other ends of the pull wires are extended and are combined with a control mechanism inside a handle.
